I have one switch and three kids. This might be a decent option when one wants to play a different game or as one to bring on long trips but giving up the flexibility of ever connecting it to a tv doesn’t line up to that small of a discount for me.

We’ve switched to stainless steel cups for drinks around the pool and they are also great for kids that might otherwise drop glasses in the house. Single use plastics are avoidable with better planning. We’ve had these for over a year and they are still in great shape.

As someone who drinks 4-5 cups of tea most days I invested in a great looking, top tier kettle last year. It’s quick, quiet and well built.

I also use it to boil water for pasta as it’s much faster than the pot on the stove approach.
