Ha! But, actually no. The woman to whom I referred did end up being scared of a psychotic who killed a postal worker—that's a Federal crime. Every Fed prison does not have a medical wing for long-term or serious care. Instead, they put all the prisoners who need that level of care in facilities that have a mixed

I am so sorry you don't know what you're talking about. You're imagining an old person who isn't seriously ill getting along in minimum security. The reality is: In the Federal system, if you are really, truly old and ill you get housed with ALL the other seriously ill AND the mentally unstable people who need

Has been waiting all day for this recap thread... My immediate reaction to this finale was a visceral minute of hate for the creators of this show. Dream within a dream within a dream—F.U.! But as I thought about it this morning and thru today I've arrived at an appreciation of the entire series. What we did was take

I hooted out loud with delight repeatedly and thought Nina looked FABULOUS—Dr. Strangelove in drag. If her newly working hand had gone for her throat... I might have died laughing. Fringe has been infinitely capable of reinventing itself and this variation is as interesting as all the others. Walter is great for

Yep, THE PROBLEM with this show was I always related more strongly to the criminals than the cops. Rebecca, who cared about her? Not me.

Charlie Jane, I'm sorry but you so totally got this wrong. Olivia did NOT give up everything about herself. She's reclaiming who she really is! She's leaving behind being sad, cold, uptight Olivia to regain being bright, sexy, kick-ass Olivia. So sad she's losing the weird maternal relationship with Nina but hey, she

Gathering from this thread that the show's creator has plainly stated that one of the realities is a dream/delusion is a shock. Why did he do THAT? Why did he step from behind the curtain and make this loud aside to an influential part of his audience? Is he LYING or STUPID? Is doing this supposed to give him a larger

My favorite part of this show, so far, is the dueling shrinks running a good-cop-bad-cop routine on Michael's head. In both realities—it seems to me—their goal is to make him dysfunctional. The Asian hard-ass wants him to deny that his "dreams" have any value at all while the kindly lady wants him to go full-out

I have spent long hours dreaming about living in the Harbinger. It's got charm and style which the IKEA trailer does not.

I'm very confident about the quality of the five book saga that's completed. I'd really like to see it released with a publisher's imprint. Plus it would be rather rude to give it away for free while the manuscript is still sitting in DAW's office. But the saga I'm currently constructing is a horse of a different

As a writer with a completed series of five SF&F novels and currently wrestling with a new series in a different "universe", I really don't know what to do. The first of the five novels has been at DAW for five months. They didn't outright reject it with the SASE I provided. So they must have liked my cover letter and

Thank you so much. I needed this clarification of Peter's motive for rejecting Olivia at this point.

My immediate reaction to Peter's last line in this episode was: Get yourself a pair of ruby slippers, dude.

Jack Sylvane is still the only character on this show who interests me. He has depth, conflicts and is a hunky dude. Let him out of his cell and pair him with Rebecca to hunt down her granddad. I might keep watching if that happens. Otherwise, a few minutes of what cute little business Jorge is going to do this week

I believe burning the letter sets up Prince Not-Charming to be accused of killing his wife. We didn't actually see Pout go up in smoke. E.Q. will arrange for Pout's body to be found by Emma in circumstances that suggest she was murdered in a rage or some other lame plot device that keeps the "True Lovers" apart.

Agree with your interpretation of the page soaking scene. August Wayne Booth (note he has three names like a serial killer) has rewritten the book. Only Henry will notice the changes... or maybe he won't since this show depends on all the modern-day characters being incredibly stupid.

This was compelling but a bit creepy. I foresee no satisfying resolution to the prime dilemma except possibly he's in a coma and both of his loved ones are still alive. Then both "realities" are dreams and that's lame.

Re: Ingram's son. I believe the discovery that his father had sold a secret gizmo to the govt. for a buck made him reverse course and decide to stay to explore the mystery. So, cute young doctor will be a new on-going character/threat to Finch's peace of mind.

Was this shot from the top of Glastonbury Tor? Why yes, I clicked the link and my fuzzy, flaky memories of watching the dawn after climbing in the dark were confirmed. What a magical place! I bet the photographer and the people with him were saying "Oh wow, man" and "Far out" like flash-back hippies from the sixties,

I had no idea I was participating in National Novel Writing Month. Writing novels is what I do almost every day to fight off boredom. Structure, outlines, character lists, "Act One Break", what is THAT stuff? I start with a character in an interesting situation then TELL MYSELF A STORY! I barely know what is going to
