Touaregs are named after a nomadic desert people, after all.

No belts! Anywhere on it. Not a single one. gear driven accessories

Just needed something bigger. 14 year old son is 6'3", lol

Mine! Sold a couple years back. Hauled ass, haha. Bought it completely stock in Orange County and drove back to Seattle in a day and a half.

YES! After I got mine flashed with a Malone Tune, I saw 28 mpg on a very early morning road trip. Cruising at a pretty high speed, lol

Mine dyno’d 315 hp/566 tq to the wheels before I got a Malone Tune. Never re-dyno’d, but it was significantly faster and smoked like an oil well fire. Which in a way, it was.

No worries man. I was bound to find this story here- there was only 390 something 2004 V10's sold in the US, can’t remember the other years.

Same Brembo setup that was on the V8 Touaregs. Brake pad replacements are FAST. And not all that expensive.

Just needed something with a bigger interior

Oh, and one thing I found interesting- zero belts on that motor. EVERYTHING is gear driven. No timing belt, no alternator belt, no serpentine anything.

Yup, I had just washed it. I traded it in on a Yukon, then it showed up months later at a local VW dealer, still registered to me. Never heard why it was there. I never had any real issues with it. Loved owning it.

I owned one from 2007 to 2014. Did all my own work and was fairly modified as well (Malone Tune, lowered via Vag-com, wheels, custom rear bumper, straight piped, etc). Had the usual stuff happen. Center bearing on the driveshaft is a $500 fix, done in my driveway in an hour. Alternator replacement was complicated, but
