Maybe I'm alone, but I thought BJR was completely over the top evil. When he was talking about the flogging like a 'masterpiece' I rolled my eyes. Jamie's too perfect and BJR is too evil for either to be believable.

How are Dany and Jon's story parallel, exactly? She's conquering cities by force, playing the Iron Throne game while he is trying to help his brothers defend the Wall against the Wildlings and the Others. He's not trying to 'make the Watch a better place'- that's so absurd it's laughable.
"Beyond the Sea" was always truly scary to me. I remember not being able to sleep that night at all.
RTD nearly ruined the Daleks for me (especially in "Daleks Take Manhattan"). Fortunately, Moffat made them awesome again in "Asylum of the Daleks". I'm hoping we get to see something totally new now that they no longer know who the Doctor is.
Yes, 4 episodes (which includes a 2-parter) over 4 seasons is "running into the ground". Nothing like the Daleks, who get at least one (but usually more) episode a series since the show started 50 year ago.
