The CIA most definitely did use drug money to fund the Contras, like I get that everyone on the AV Club is an edgy contrarian but this shit is easy to find.

He had a throwaway line saying ""you ever wonder why jewish people own all the property in america" which is a bit eyebrow raising

Jay Z realllllllly gotta cut back on the lowkey antisemitic stuff tho.

Pizza had like half a year to write S2 , and the rushed quality is obvious.

Luke Cage was a send up of blaxploitation so a certain level of ham was expected but I thought he did well in his role. Moonlight is a better showcas eof his talent as an actor, he was only in it for one act but managed to give one of the best performances of the year.

This site has been around for over a decade and it's still absolute shit at discussing rap music

yeah, he needs to kick it into gear in the second half. The Ultron issue was a good example of Spencer blending his flair for dialogue with actual cool shit.

I like Spencers dialogue more than Bendis's which is why I guess I'm still enjoying it, though it needs to pick up the pace and quickly.

Lack of linewide vision mostly

I mean it goes deeper than just "superheroes are dumb" most of it is in Spencers Sam Cap run. Basically Sam realized that his role as Captain America basically left him unable to do anything of actual consequence and after a series of escalating disasters culminating in Cap betraying everyone basically led to Sam

Apparently, Legacy has more new books planned and all that to be announced at SDCC. But this just raises more questions about why Marvel fucked this whole rollout so badly.

TBH, Secret Empire is one of my favorite Marvel events in a while I get why people don't like it but it just works for me.

Sam Wilson didn't really refuse the call, he basically runs the underground railroad he's just tired of superhero nonesense. The only hero that seems willing to actaulyl kill someone however is Miles and that's because he was prophesied to do it. Also nobody knows how to write him effectively.

Leftovers though

Lindelof is leagues better than Snyder especially with character work

She was well written in United, and the whole concept of New Tian could be interesting

The X Men are currently stronger than they've been in two or three years they aren't dying any time soon. I do want Cyclops back though.

He's got potential but nobody really seems to know how to use him. I feel like turning him into the son of some multiversal hero is the 100% wrong way to go about making him interesting though.

The only issue I have with it is the direction Dukes being taken.

So far a bunch of weird shit is happening involving a "dark universe" and Batman is te only person who has an idea of what's going on. Also the Joker is in it because Snyder. It'd pretty good though.
