No. She undertook a brutal campaign to take something that she felt entitled to. She wasn’t concerned with saving humanity. She only ever cared about one thing.

When did “character development” become the passphrase for people trying to present themselves as intellectual. Character development is not the only standard by which a story can be judged. But suddenly, its the only thing that matters. And it doesn’t have to be good or bad, it only has to be a certain amount of it.

A large part of the problem is that the actress just isn’t good enough to portray such a complicated character. It was written into the script, but a lot of it just didn’t show up on screen.

What about everyone else who got charged? Just the rich guy getting his evidence thrown out?

Perhaps a better actress would have been able to make that a little more apparent. 

Or, you could have started out with a better actress capable of real depth.
