One question tho - how does it crash? Is it safe? I know that this is at odds with fuel economy, but if it means certain death, I'd rather have a crash-tested Volt.

@bpapa9013: The auto is a pig, and I haven't driven the SC, but my AWD also handles like a pig — no sudden course corrections on the highway please. But then I am running truck tires.
@weatherman: I don't know what your cherokee gets, but my 03 AWD gets ~23 mpg most of the time, and often 25-27 mpg on trips.
