that’s what people tell me when I ask for them. but with those apps you can deposit them just by taking a pic of the check. Not sure how safe it is, but eh.

they are probably not. I also very rarely use cash, and prefer people pay me back for things in checks so I can deposit them in my account quickly. But I also know I’m from a particular socio-economic class that can do this, and that I don’t frequent a lot of cash-only places.
