My parents have no idea about my anxiety and depression, and neither do 90% of my friends. It's not obvious. It's not like there is a fucking rain cloud looming over every depressed person's head.

Add to that the attitude so many parents have that their kid is a special snowflake that would (1) NEVER bully someone else, (2) NEVER hang out with anyone who did, (3) ALWAYS stop it if they see it, etc.

This absolutely broke my heart. I could never make it as a teenager these days. I couldn't hack it.

YOU'RE FROM MTV'S DIARY NOT CRIBS

I'm really not sure how true that is. I never bullied anyone or wanted to. What makes me different? There has to be something. My husband is like me. Our girls are the same. But is that genetic or is it the fact that from day 1 I have instilled the concept that there is nothing more important than kindness towards

A locked bathroom stall has an expectation of privacy and people say shit just like that to rape victims all the time, too.

Yes, yes. It was clearly the fault of the boy in a locked bathroom stall, and not the creeper filming over the stall wall. Asshat.

I hate the human race sometimes.

How is this not distribution of child pornography?

Here's a question — what are you, personally, doing about this gender grooming differential? You're SO concerned that men in this class, for a single semester, would be asked to take a bit of extra time and do something they wouldn't normally do. But what about the hours every week women are required to engage in

What's ironic there is that women STILL get the short end of the stick. Her social consequences for not shaving will be many times worse than yours for shaving.

You are literally describing life for women.

God forbid a gender studies professor give one EXTRA credit assignment where the men have to perform a task that is expected of women from the day they hit puberty to the day they die! Those poor men, such sexism, such misandry!

It's almost like society norms force women to take up large amounts of time conforming to those norms while men are accepted for doing little work. I wonder if that was the point of the project maybe probably...

It was an optional assignment. And I love how inequality is only "problematic" when men are on the short end.

That's the point. It's not fair.

Ding ding ding ding! Give this person extra credit for realizing the point of the assignment without even having to participate in it! When one gender has to spend way more time, energy and money doing something than the other gender in order to get the same amount of credit, THAT'S SOME BULLSHIT. So from now on,

Excuse me but I was told there would be no math.

HAHAHA. First we get criticized constantly for being lazy, entitled pieces of shit. I kept hearing "When I was 25, I wasn't living at home! I got my ass up and paid off my loans working 2 jobs" and "All millenials care about is getting drunk and sexting!" complaints from baby boomers, even in professional journalism.

You act like no other generation has ever been studied, analyzed, and criticized by previous generations. It happens to us all and you'll be on the other side of it soon enough.
