Yet that person who downed 5 glasses of wine and lobster is always the person who tries to embarass everyone into splitting. You have to be prepared with cash to pay for what you ordered, and a nice short speech letting them know their game isn’t going to work.

I feel like grown adults with real jobs should expect to pay for what they ordered rather than mooching by having other people who ordered less supplement the cost of their meal.

It actually reads cheap to me when people want to split it evenly. Most of those people want to mooch off other people who don’t order much, so they can supplement the cost of their meal. Wanting to pay for what you ordered is not cheap. It’s called living within your means, and its smart.
