Right? My engagement ring cost $400. Average home cost in our neighborhood is $600k. I loooooove getting financial advice intended for people much wealthier than I am. It's useless AND insulting!

But the price has been cut $30K! With that kind of savings you can buy windows. And, presumably, a roof.

See my post above. Your don't have "nothing". You just paid to have somewhere to live. Kinda how you do when you go to the grocery store and restaurants and buy food. You're under the impression that where you live is supposed to give you a return on your investment. And that's fine. But it's a very American way

I agree. How should I know where I'm going to live in 3 years? 5 years? 10 years? 20 years? I feel a need to be geographically flexible with the job market as it is.

Not trying to start an argument here, but isn't that what a lot of people thought before The Great Depression Part 2? That they could just sell the house off if they were having financial difficulties? Didn't really turn out very well for a lot of them...

The thought of a 30 year mortgage makes me hyperventilate. And roofs. And water heaters. And basements that leak. And it's not like you actually own the home, the bank owns the home.

Is it weird that I never really want to be homeowner? My BF thinks I'm weird (as an aside, he's totally on board with my disdain for diamond engagement rings hmmmmm).

Oh, you forgot to mention, the tweet that said "I've only been with like one guy" was accompanied by a picture of a cave. A fucking cave. What a perfect way to illustrate WHY women will lie about the number of partners they've had. When one has to deal with the absurd myth that more sex = stretched-out, broken

I'm glad SOMEBODY is speaking up for Diaz. I mean, she didn't look bad to me at all in this. I think she'll be great and yeah, Bad Teacher is a perfect example of how good she can be with the right material.

Agreed. They should've got Melissa Macarthy for that role. Her ad-libs are brilliant, there would have been tons of footage to work with.

Can we stop for a second and discuss how absolutely stupid it is that instead of trying to make a job market for non-college grads, we now try to cram everyone, regardless of ability or desire, into a college degree?

Their plus clothes are terrible. Shitty materials, shitty construction. I don't consider it a viable option for clothes.

What? You mean those elastic-waist capris and sleeveless tunics in eye-searing prints that seem to populate most petite sections aren't to your taste? It's almost like you're not at least 60 years old...

I gotta tell you, I am never less than 100% disappointed with clothing I buy from Target. It their plus sized line better quality than their straight sizes? The stuff looks cute but as soon as you launder it once it turns into cardboard and starts to fall apart.

Jolie replied to me! Fuck my graduate thesis, nothing else can rival this accomplishment!

You don't have to. My mom never made us make our beds every day because she was of the opinion that "you're just going to get back into it." She did have us change the sheets every week, which I now do maybe every two weeks. I'm single and lazy!

No, what makes the overall look and feel different is picking up all the stuff that's on the floor and putting it where it's supposed to go. A made bed does nothing for a room if your clothes and shit are scattered all over the floor.

Actually he did both:

"this is an imaginative interpretation of Scripture, and not literal"

Can we put a similar disclaimer on the actual Bible? ;)
