So, internet should be a public utility. This shouldn’t be about profit, it should be about providing people with an essential service.

Given the situation they very well may have been rural customers who were tethering to get internet access to a computer. Because they do not have it otherwise (or what local plans may be available are junk). This is the sad truth of internet in many places within the US.

Why would you go out of your way to defend a gigantic company being a piece of shit to it’s customers

“Losing money”? How? Does it cost Verizon a ton of money for all the diesel fuel to drive all those semi-trucks full of bytes over those long, lonely rural back roads? I’d really like to see a cost breakdown for this.

I’m a 47-year old woman and I don’t find teenagers sexually attractive; they look unfinished. I’m also a therapist who works with adolescents and my professional opinion is that yes, it’s skeevy and potentially harmful. So I’m in Santa Clara County, CA, and we are struggling to recall the judge responsible for letting Brock here off with a very light sentence. I’m shocked by the resistance to recalling Judge Persky. When adapting Shakespeare, the writer has a number of decisions to make about how he or she will treat the text. You can modernize the text and the setting (ie: ) or modernize the setting but keep the original text (ie: Ralph Fiennes’ Coriolanus, which keeps Shakespeare’s text but sets it in the contemporary Balkans).

Dylan Thomas was an outstanding alcoholic, Jack Kerouac was an outstanding alcoholic. Mickey Mantle was an outstanding alcoholic. Richard Burton and Oliver Reed were outstanding alcoholics.

Bingo! She doesn’t call herself a feminist because she’s afraid she’ll lose the $$$ from people who persist in believing that “feminist” is a bad word. It’s because she’s a coward, not because she’s a principled hero.

I’m still nursing my disappointment that Amy Adams isn’t playing TH. She’s a hella good actor and dude, google-image the two names and whoa, twinsies:

Nuance is forbidden in most conversations nowadays.

And now I have “I love to love” stuck in my head!
