To be fair, the Trump flag-waving boat got much, much closer than any other. I wasn’t even aware of the size of the crowd until much later.

When I was growing up, my mom had one of these on our farm. She would park it on a hill, open the hatch, and hose out the interior to get all the Cheerios we dropped.

This stands to reason since most people live according to their means...”

Looks like a catfish to me.

This is basically what I came here to recommend.

I have a 1983 300TD wagon. It’s been in the family since new, and I will probably never part with it. The car is likely in better shape than 99% of W123s out there.

I have owned seven Subarus, and we currently have a 2016 Outback. I would totally have cross-shopped that Buick, in another six years, if they hadn’t killed it.

I am a huge Lotus fan, but this is not the direction I want them to go. Be giant killers, not giants.

I remember that as well, and feel just as old for the same reason.

I like that Jalopnik takes sides. Keep it up.

I worked in Schwinn shops as a mechanic in the mid- to late-90s. That was during the last gasp the company really had, when it was bought and moved to Boulder, CO.

I love this generation of Legacy/Outback. It’s like the last gasp of 80s/90s Japanese simple reliability.

I used to live in Ann Arbor in the early 2000s, and I am all but certain I saw the one functional prototype they built, driving on the street.

Goddamn if this isn’t peak Torchinsky, then we’re in for some fun.

I don’t get having a console mounted gear selector, and I definitely don’t get it being motorized.

I’m glad you found something you loved. That it wouldn’t have been my choice, and wasn’t any of the suggestions above, is what makes the world great.

I think what we, as a people, need to understand is why our hunger for trikes is so great that we cobble them out of practically anything.

Now playing

As soon as I saw this, I thought, ‘hey, what I want to know instead is how the Jimny compares to a Dacia Duster.’ And the internet delivered.

I think Porsche/Gladiator needs to consider what he’s really willing to sacrifice for that Taco. I understand having sentimental attachment to a vehicle. I even had a 1987 Toyota pickup that I hugged when I traded it for a Subaru SVX.

I’m with kvara on this one, and I don’t see why the discussion has to turn into personal attacks. A well-reasoned argument is not necessarily sanctimony.
