Because they’re just as capable of building to a price as any other industrialized nation?
Back in 2006 we bought a used rental Subaru Outback. In six months it had done 20k miles, which was the only real issue. We paid well under the typical value for the car and drove it for the next ten years with nary a problem.
HF sells nice tools under the Icon brand. I recently bought a set of their ratcheting reversible combo wrenches. They’re outstanding, but not cheap at about $10 a wrench. The set was $150.

Man, I really wish I had a 360 camera for Rocket Range Trail in the UP last year. My family and I drove to the end of US 40, of which we’ve seen the other end in Key West. Then we kept going on the gravel road, rutted double track, and finally just grass until we hit the end of the land. It’s not something I’ll soon…
‘NASCAR driver says quiet part out loud.’
I have never seen this car before, and that alone is worth a star.
