That it’s so high a number says terrifying things about our prospects as a country.

Yeah, I have to be honest. I misread X-runner’s comment. I thought they said ‘you sound like,’ not ‘yeah sounds like.’
That’s a very nice story. But it doesn’t in the least invalidate what I said. I didn’t claim that Todt was born at the top, just that he was, in fact, at the top.
I’m sure that means something to you.
It’s always the people at the top, who have what you don’t, telling you to be happy with what you have.
-long sigh-
The Citroens are amazing. I wish I saw a sight like that in my hometown.
It’s built differently. Better is a matter of opinion.
I would put it this way. The 123 represents the end of one era, and the 124 represents the beginning of the next. The 123 is overbuilt and the 124 was the first to be overengineered.

Holy shit, I actually have one of those, a 1983 300TD wagon. Mine will probably never sell for $44k, but I’ll also probably never sell it. I am glad to see them getting this kind of love. :) these cars are crushingly endearing.
First gear:
I am right there with you. I was sure this would be a record-setting NP win. This was a god-car twenty years ago. I know that time moves on, but That kind of notoriety and nostalgia usually translates into classic value later on.
I did expect I’d get something like that in reply. ;)
Several years ago, I stopped by the Chicago auto show, because the FR-S was on display for the first time in production guise. I was so excited for that car that I called it ‘the Toyota My Next Car.’ Then I didn’t buy one because it didn’t do anything my RX8 didn’t.
Hooray for grey areas and complexity.
Hey, look. ‘The holy grail’ of Chrysler minivans.
I wonder how many different kinds of bikes Bradley will allow. ;)
