Man, the names on that show were so perfect. Remedy Malahide was always a favourite of mine.

Haha, good for you! Sorry if that came across like parent shaming; Lady Douchechill and I are having a boy in November and I am terrified he's going to rebel by being a redpiller instead of sneaking beers and smoking weed like his old man.

I had to have it pointed out to me too.

Yeah, it is weird to do that. Imagine a thing you are a fan of doing an unprecedented thing. Done? There, now you get why people care.

I genuinely want that to happen. It's much less embarassing than Delta and the Bannermen, which makes me cringe despite my love of Echo and the Bunnymen.

oh look, a chud.

The whole 'thoughtcrime' thing really annoys me in the context in which you used it. Nothing personal. Most of the responses I saw to Takei were either relatively polite disagreement or actual homophobes using him as a shield, like, "See, even this homo thinks this is tokenistic political correctness gone mad!"

I don't know what would annoy the chuds more - an all-female TARDIS team or a young male companion 13 has to explain things to.

It's profoundly depressing that people use Orwell to pretend they're being oppressed when people disagree with them.

Boy wants a talking to.

I'm cool with that, especially if they keep leaning in to his comedic inclinations.

The Ninth Doctor had both. The idea that he was grim and dour from beginning to end doesn't hold up for more than about twenty seconds of screentime.

That's a really good point, actually.

I'm pretty uncomfortable with the entire internet interrogating this girl's race in the name of being woke, to be honest.

"Welcome to Agrabah!"

Apparently there's a shot in the Infinity War teaser of him on the school bus with the hairs on his arms standing up on end, which people are interpreting as the ol' Spidey sense kicking in.

Yeah, great point about Stark. The suit's OTT functionality wasn't a deal breaker or anything, just a bit of an adjustment. It provided some big laughs, too.

Sure, for all the good it did. Anyway, let's call it a day, huh? Not trying to get the last word in, I'm just ready to get on with my remaining weekend. Brisket to go on the smoker, beers in the fridge, that kind of thing. No hard feelings I hope. Have a good one.

I was in favour of Donald Glover playing Peter in the Mark Webb reboot, just because I think he would've fit the role really well, although it turns out he dodged a bullet by missing out!

Yeah, I don't like that suit at all. I kind of wish he'd ended up with something that looked like the initial Stark suit, but without all the AI bells and whistles. It would've been a better pay-off to the "I'm nothing without the suit" line, which is patently untrue.
