OP didn't invent the idea of internalised misogyny dude.

You think it's too long a bow to draw to link cover-ups of sexual assault to the broader culture that enabled them?

I have to say, for someone who hates trumped up outrage so much, you seem a lot more worked up than the people calmly discussing the notion that Baby, It's Cold Outside might read as a bit creepy.

James Joyce? Is that you?

Points for not citing Hitler as an atheist, points removed for trotting it this tired old cliche in the first place. Clearly, the reason it's a plus for worker201 is that it's still actually kind of a big deal to 'come out' as an atheist in the USA in 2014. I've had close American friends and cordial acquaintances get

Don't be silly. It's only Egyptians, Mayans (you know, brown people) etc who needed extraterrestrial help to achieve anything.

I hope so. A Danny Rand connecting with his ancestral home by travelling to K'un L'un is way more compelling and less on the nose than a white guy going there and beating the natives at their own game. And that's basically the only thing you have to change about the character - he's still an outsider in K'un L'un

Asking "whine much?" in response to this post is so much more whiney than the post itself.

I'm sure if large numbers of women in real life were shot through the head by cannibal tribes from beyond the wall on a daily basis we'd be seeing similar outcry. You'd rather be Cersei because this is all academic for you.

It's a right load of bollocks innit

Eh, not really. He seems to be doing a sort of Welsh accent, which seems to be an (inconsistently applied) Riverlands thing. Michelle Fairley affected slightly Welsh vowel sounds as Cat, too, despite also being Irish (albeit from Ulster, iirc).

Is this not a necessary feature in any movie in the history of cinema where two people play the same character at different times in the character's life? I mean fuck me, is that level of suspension of disbelief really beyond you?

"I have to lie to women to get laid. Even then I don't score much. I got a little dick, it's pathetic!" I'd like to see this so-called Agent Garrett be so honest about himself.

TBH I even found Coulson boring in the seven or eight episodes I watched. What made him work in the movies was that he was this sort of bemused but unflappable everyman (as much as a super spy can be an everyman). As a team leader (and ugh pseudo father figure to Skye) he's just too bland.

Agreed.

I would say "completely untrue" given the amount of contradictory Star Wars bullshit Lucas has said over the years.

Yeah, it's obviously not going to happen, but Jesus I wish they'd leave him alone for a bit. Let the indigestion from Dark Knight Rises settle a bit before asking us to shovel down another course.

Holy shit, that album. I picked up a remastered vinyl copy at a record fair a few years ago and it didn't leave my turntable for about six months.

I was going to mention Prince Far-I too, but he might be a bit off-putting for beginners. Still, why not chuck people in at the deep end?

Only my opinion of you.
