He's a young, gay Adam Scott

Carrie's increasing exasperation with Fred's Texan accent was one of my favorite moments of the entire series.

1.I still look forward to hearing the theme song every week. It somehow hits both the melancholy and out there the show tries to hit.
2.Britt Lower. Wow.
3.Super glad Liz got her own episode without even Josh support. Britt Lower deserves it. Even if she’s not a main character, I do think they need to bring her in more

As soon as I came out of the theater, I realized that The Martian has a very good chance at becoming the next Forrest Gump. Feel good, movie star performance, and no real sense that anything might go wrong.

The fact that I feel certain shows shouldn't have been kept out of the TOP FUCKING 40 is unfathomable.

Is there an unwritten rule where only one Adam Sandler movie is allowed to be on the list?

We always comment on how there's too much good TV there is and all that, but this list of 40 makes me really realize how much goddamn TV I watch.

59. Vice Realm
60. You Know It
61. Brewed

The last of Shane Meadows' "This is England" series, "90" came out in Britain this fall, and I highly recommend it to anyone. It has a realism and a raw emotion that most American shows haven't reached this year. The whole series, including the movie, can be watched in a rainy weekend.

Time for some way-too-early theorizing on season 3: the two seasons seemed to complete each other pretty well, in a way that seems unfriendly to expand upon. What threads/characters will come back next season, if any?

There were a few episodes in season 1 where it seemed to flounder under its concept a bit, but since finding its footing it's been on an incredible run, more assured in the bold steps it takes.

I loved the Leftovers, but was often worried about the direction it might take each night, and often each minute, as if it might veer off wildly and betray all of the trust I had begun to put in it. With Fargo, however, there really was no doubt.

If this is the way it goes out, one hell of a one season weirdo. Animation is usually always "inventive," but Moonbeam City was always so fantastic to watch. It had a firm command on style from episode one, though the story sometimes felt wanting.

Part of me wants to be jealous of Aziz because of his incredible skills as a director. The other part of me wants to be jealous of Aziz because of his incredible taste in pretty much everything.

Brian Posehn has perhaps my favorite description of the star wars prequels, stating that it's kind of like if your really cool uncle, completely out of the blue, put his dick on your shoulder.

"On bourbon, on vodka, on scotch and on gin!"

I can't help but think that Tim Burton is 3 fewer fetishes away from being Wes Anderson.

Well, this at least gives us one more reason for #canceljost

Releasing Eskimo Snow was a terrible decision, making it sound like a B-Sides collection that wasn't good enough to fit into Alopecia. I lost interest from then on.

Perhaps this the wrong place to mention this, but Gabe's appearance on Best Show really has me missing Videogum.
