It’s a film that rewards you for paying attention. You probably need to see it a few times to get every little nuance...
That ‘glaring spot of horribleness’ is about the size of China. Whereas other than the Mary Poppins in space, I wasn’t too aggravated.
I’d point out the many, many stupid plot failures in said arch but there’s no point in making you look any stupider. You’re literally defending the prequels and Jar Jar. You can feel free to die on that hill.
You should really, and I mean really, read my comments. Because this post was meant as sarcasm and I’m a bigger spandex film hater than most on here.
The Last of Sheila is SO great. I caught it on a retro channel a while back and I was surprised how great that film is.
You must have missed the part where I simply brought up the name Jar-Jar Binks, which automatically moves any film he is in onto the bottom rung of any sensible ranking of the Star Wars films.
It must be tough thinking Jar-Jar Binks is not the worst thing ever made. And not a boomer, although considering their financial security I sometimes wish I was one (Nah...I hate hippies)
If you think the prequels are better than anything not made by Ed Wood, then I think you need to stop smoking so much clearly superior pot.
I do think there were more misses than hits in the last 2 seasons, but you definitely got some gems. “Avalance”, “Mac and Me”, “Killer Fish” and a few others were a lot of fun.
My younger two daughters quote that whole scene to the point of doing the Parrot version of “Pretty Nice! Pretty Nice!”
Please. In the grand scheme of things it’s still light years better than the prequels, the Holiday Special and those awful Ewok films. My issue is that it wasn’t as great as Rogue One. TFA is acceptable, as was this film.
Same here. Season 2 was a definite improvement over Season 1 (Jonah seasons) but season 1 had some great moments as well.
I disagree though: some episodes I actually felt the old magic. “Mac and Me” in particular was:
I honestly did not recall that, but now I have to watch it. And afterwards, a little Paul Lynde Halloween special...
That’s, like, your opinion man. And a wrong one at that. Although the Mary Poppins in space scene with Leia should have been cut admittedly.
I’m so old I actually remember watching that show as a kid in the 70's...
It was more just playing it over and over for something like a year and a half. It was my ‘money’ band in that we played a lot of covers I hated but got paid well. I also feel the same way about 7 Mary 3 and their one song...
That’s what my children call me.
The sad (and old) thing is I get that reference: I was in a shitty cover band that played that Eve 6 song and to this day I despise it.
