Thanks for the Oates love. That being said, I think you’re way off base on the Simpsons. The humor is hardly LCD level: they’ve made jokes about Brazilian time travel and a ton of others. A good example: Abe Simpson once said he felt “as lonely as Estes Kefauver at a meeting of Murder Incorporated.” His family looked…
That’s fair then. The ‘slight’ majority of Mad Men (4 to 3 seasons) is in the 2010's.
You may not get the Simpsons but come on...in it’s prime it was comedy and culture changing.
Yeah but Mad Men and Breaking Bad BOTH premiered in the 2000's by that logic...Granted it was later than earlier but if we’re arguing technicalities...
Wait...The Venture Bros isn’t on this list? This list is instantly invalid. Especially considering how great the season in NYC was...
Maybe because I’m just not into musicals but I never understood the love for “Crazy Ex GF”. Same for “You’re the Worst” which seems just ‘meh’ but without the music.
BLURST AGAIN!
Oh but when a white guy does it... :)
It’s odd in that I agree with you 100 percent about how she should have taken it from her boyfriend but find your manner of stating so pretty obnoxious. We GET it: you work in the field and went to college. As a son of a feminist however I have to admit I agree with most of your posts that I’ve been catching up on,…
I just binge watched this series and I’m going back through the reviews, and you nailed it: her death bothered me as much as Omar’s. Two vastly different characters but man...they both really hurt.
No it’s dusty in YOUR office!
I’m waiting to see how my beloved Jets embarrass themselves this week. Will it be ghosts? A safety on a snap? An interception run the wrong way?
Personally I like how he’s morphed into Jim Varney as he gets older...
Much like the song, you’re solid gold and got the goods my friend...
“I’ll teach you to mock my hot disco moves!”
“Freddy Got Fingered” jumps back and forth over that line multiple times. I’m still not sure if it’s a Dada-ist experiment in film that’s deliberately super surreal or if it’s the work of morons with cameras.
There’s just SO much wrongness in that film it’s perfect. Ralphus is also one of THE worst actors ever put on screen which makes it all the better.
Well done.
I mean...that’s a given right?
