Love the Speed Racer movie. It was an absolute delight in the theater. Innovative, bold, colorful.

Very sad. Kind of avoided the Speed Racer movie for a lot of years, not knowing much about it. Daughter and I watched it and it instantly vaulted into our top 10 list. I think I read somewhere that Speed Racer (the ‘60's original) was pretty much responsible for introducing mainstream North America to/popularizing

Fuck it - make it $20 billion. Doesn’t fix the damage done.

oh, brodozers....

Now make them do a recall to fix every engine with the defeat device in place. Also make it impossible to license any vehicle for on road use if the recall isn’t addressed within 6 months. I realize state based licensing makes the second have of my proposal impossible.

Well tell those cars to stop dressing like little tarts and maybe, just maybe I will consider not randomly fucking them.

I get that people have different tastes and all, but to insist cream is in carbonara, an old and very well established recipe, to the point you’re arguing a restauranteur and/or their chef, is kind of insane. And if you insist on having it that way, it is no longer carbonara--the thing you asked for. I completely

Those directors need to sit down and take a long drink of “Get the fuck over yourself”. I am so sick of the current trend for primadonna directors who get all arty about their supposed vision. They ain’t that deep, bro.

I have a great sound system and decent TV and agree - the EXPERIENCE of a theater movie is almost always worth the “effort” of going out and spending the money.  That being said I save that expense for “BIG” movies that I know are really good (most recent is Napoleon) and/or have effects that the theater really brings

We all know an action movie isn’t anywhere near as fun at home

I would absolutely buy this over a 5 Series or E-Class.

why would you post his net worth? what does that have to do with anything (and by the way, that website is absolute horseshit and wildly inaccurate for many if not most of the celebs it features)?

Ever since the pandemic ended people are so much more aggressive

I’m glad I’m not the only one who noticed this, even if it’s anecdotal. Hell, I have kind of a lead foot, and I live outside Boston, and even I’ve been thinking people have been more bathshit post-pandemic. And obviously they were pretty batshit where I live before that.

Four hours? That’s generous. Most of these psychos have this shit on 24/7. My father unironically told me once he keeps on because he wants to make sure we’re, and I quote, “not under attack.”

Maybe its just because I’m older now (41), or had a kid, or whatever else. But man it seems like the roads are more dangerous than they have ever been at any time of my 26 year driving career. Ever since the pandemic ended people are so much more aggressive behind the wheel. They drive so much faster and with zero

You begin to understand why so many old people are paranoid idiots now when you realize they sit down every single evening and watch programming like this for four hours.

I’ve been a Godzilla fan pretty much since birth.  I am super-excited for this.

That’s what happens after a steady diet of American movies that largely romanticize guns, gun-ownership, and (consequence-free!) gun violence that looks more fun than dangerous.

I would looooove to live in a demilitarized country that wasn’t being exploited by it’s protectorate. I would LOOOOOOVE to live in a demilitarized citizenry where even the police are largely unarmed. I find the Japanese romanticism of the Military and Gun ownership so confusing.
