Well, that’s probably because it actually was the funniest movie of the year.
The Hollywood comedy movie makers should be utterly embarrassed at knowing that The Martian really was the funniest movie of the year.
That last shot of the Connie is actually showing the ship LEAVING San Diego, as opposed to her pulling back in. North Island is to her port...if she was entering the harbor, it would be on her starboard. ;)
This super-duper Star Wars fanboy (I’ll admit it) since the 70’s thinks that you are definitely allowed to think whatever you want, and enjoy with ever film you like. Heresy or not, stick to your guns! Because objectively speaking, the original movie hasn't aged well in that dialog dept.
I'm assuming they didn't like it because there isn't any children being violated?
Absolutly agree. Driver delivered a wonderful performance to a type of character that's been sorely needed in movies of late: a complex and layered villain.
He absolutly did not hold his own against an opponent who is has never been called a Sith in any official capacity, so that’s a pure assumption on your part, with little merit.
Jeez...I can’t believe this guy didn’t just snap - I know I probably would have. Good on him for having a cool head about the whole thing.
That woman is a national treasure. Give her all the raises.
Along with other actors, he’s still trying to do some work for our active service men and women.
Oh come on...he was excellent in This Is Where I Leave You. He’s got some chops.
Indeed.
HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!
Ah...but the best fiction includes a fact or two.
I’d say you had a decent enough guess, without actually having much of any facts to work with.
It’s a lack of flight deck certification for the Zumwalt’s crew, and deck. Each has to be certified by separate inspection teams, usually after the ship is finally commissioned.
Too add to what iHateHumantiy surmised, the flight deck of the Zumwalt is not certified to safely land any helicopters yet. She’s still in her PCU phase, and won’t be certified to land anything on her deck for some time to come. Baby steps.
