When Autonomous systems get reliable, it won’t be a problem to look at a screen. Since Audi’s won’t be upgraded as they age (cough Tesla cough) I concur with your conclusion: Audi thinks customers should just accept they live in a matrix and the steak is real. It is not.

Because, we are already talking about EVs so you upgraded your car’s emissions to zero with the initial purchase. New seats with even lower emissions as the grid matures into renewables? Yes please.

You mean other than Tesla? Tesla is remaking the way cars are produced in more ways than just electrifying the same ole... They are CONSTANTLY improving subsystems and the idea of model year means very little, resulting in maximum part compatibility across the years

Answer: But how will the dealerships send their kids to the orthodontist, college and magic school without all that service revenue?

I drove a Gen1 Volt for 125K miles, and have put 18K on my model 3 AWD in its first year. For it’s time the Volt was a GREAT drive (had a real electric drivetrain unlike any Prius before or since) and basically sold me on never buying an ICE again. Much more fun than a hybrid.

My first GM car was a 2013 Volt, and it succeeded wildly in getting me hooked on EVs. It also demonstrated in stark contrast how myopic GM (and 99% of all car mfgs, but I digress) management is about their products. The navigation & software.. OMG was it terrible. The dealership experience.. crap after crap. The

Good thing then that markets NEVER change. Amazon posted profits during it growth phase RIGHT? I mean, even the term GROWTH PHASE is not even a real thing right?

So, BMW should be like Polaroid, and wait and see. Got it. Makes sense. Completely prudent. Forget about reducing our planet’s carbon too, that might cost money. <another buyer drives off in a Tesla>

I would agree with you except that Tesla is not Palm Pilot, Tesla is Apple with it’s first lines of iPhone. And MacBook. And iTunes. And iCloud... (Tesla is an energy co., not just a car company.)

This whole A vs B is a framing error. The Model S has a much, much wider audience than the Taycan. So to say that 5 Series buyers will flock to the Taycan, or S class buyers.. Or older people with shot knees will willingly drop themselves into a Taycan instead of exploring their options.. Silly. Angels on the head of

Troll much? I bought my Model3 because it is a better car than anything in its class. If they exist, then they are real. Unless you have a made-up definition of real...

The term “Legacy” seems self explanatory.. (fair disclosure I own a Tesla). Forget how many NEW manufacturers have actually sprung up in say the last 5 years.. There is a wave of innovation sweeping the industry: how would you phrase the distinction between automakers riding it versus taking on water?

So... They waited so long to make a mid-engine car that current technology made the Corvette a really good dinosaur on day one. Golf clap GM. (Hops in Tesla and drives off silently)

I used to want to feel the rumble, be deafened and have to take a shower afterwards to get the smell off, just to experience “speed”. Then I grew up, became a man and bought a Tesla.

<delivered in Dr. Zoidberg style>Nope. Nope. More nope! Just factually wrong. :). Actually Rich Benoit (Rich Rebuilds..., was in the Simone video you just watched... THAT Rich) did a video on the cost of custom conversions vs store bought. You are going to be shocked how wrong you are about cost to do it even half

The new idea is that it costs about a tenth of what other tunnels cost, and has the option to use smaller more granular and automated people movers. It can go places a larger train tunnel cannot and achieve similar density, and at (not mentioned in the article) a hugely cheaper final cost. That is why boards want to

The Ped Horn is the ONE thing I miss now that I drive a Model3. Honestly it was awesomeness. A point often missed is that it also flashed multiple lights when activated to get attention, like if you had headphones on, or were otherwise hard of hearing. Used it alot!

You realize of course, that you should factor in that per mile EV costs 25-35% of what gas costs. Saving 75% on gas? While not having to PUMP said gas? Yeah, that will slow down commerce decades. Or even more. No profit motive ever sped up delivery.

I get the sense you haven’t actually driven a good EV yet... If you like fast, then EVs are faster. If you like control, EVs are smoother and more tweakable. If you like safety, then that starts with a better structural design (EV skateboard get the nod) and autonomous safety features that require a level of control
