I legit feel like anybody who believes a single word of any comedian’s set, no matter what kind of jokes they’re telling, do not have correctly calibrated expectations.

Oh yeah it totally is, but it’s not a similar situation.

Nope:  As far as I remember and can find online, he was talking about it in interviews and telling fellow comedians about it, but wasn’t using it for material.

He went on Marc Maron’s podcast and told this lie, in an interview setting, not a stand up context.

ROG Ally is also $800 bucks. Nintendo isn’t going to make anything that’s going to cost above $400 bucks. That’s not the space they’re interested in.

However, the woman said she broke up with him days before their date and denied that she did so because of he is Muslim (Minhaj disagrees with her version of events). Furthermore, she accused the comedian of failing to protect her identity in the joke, effectively doxing her, leading to years of online harassment.

He wasn’t telling jokes in his set about it, though.

don’t just parrot inaccurate or incomplete information you read somewhere else

“I think that the union should apologize for trying to silence freedom of speech”

We also have our Trump in Canada, but he is well disguised (and recently received a new look..), has slightly better manner but the rhetoric is the same :( Sad truth is that he will probably be elected as the majority of Canadian will not vote for Trudeau for a 4th mandate (there is no limit in Canada).

“Credible” is in quotation marks because it is a quote. It’s a basic tenet of responsible reporting - a news organization reporting on breaking news cannot be the arbiter of truth, they can merely report on facts. In this case, they cannot determine the validity of the claim that it was “credible” but they can report

If I were Unity. I would understand that changing my policies as a direct response to “credible” threats sets a very dangerous precedent.

Yup they only want to do it because it’s illegal and risky, no other reason.

They wont, they just wont.  They COULD pool together and rent a drag strip or small track.  Iriwindale is ight there and there is another drag strip not far.  They could go a legal/safe route, but no they do it this way because they WANT to not because they have no other options.

The person you are responding to is a notorious white power troll, who literally writes 2,000-3,000 words per day in comments on the Root attacking black people.  Don’t dignify this insincere incel asshole with replies.

My mother asked me a while ago, after I responded to some cop horror story or another with ACAB, why I am so bitter and angry at police generally. She’s a white boomer and I am white and grew up in the suburbs, where cops are supposed to be your friend (if you’re white). So she doesn’t get why I am wary and

Was there? Even in the old days they were snarky about pretty much everything. They were just better at it, and they had more cool kid cred because the coverage of everything else was fucking great.

Replying to you but it’s actually a response to a grey.

Having seen the piece in Slate before the backlash to it began and having warm feelings towards Martin Short, myself, I remember thinking that the headline (“Why We Keep Putting Up with Martin Short”) seemed odd. It seemed even more so after I read the piece.

10's of thousands of dollars.
