Fuck me. De La forever. This fucking sucks SO MUCH.
Man, I disagree with a lot of people. This was funny. Not top-shelf Iannucci but it was funny. A constant stream of Malcom Tucker-esque exasperated putdowns. Yeah, some of the supporting cast wasn’t as strong as they could have been, it felt off in some way. But it was still funny as shit imho. Laurie being great goes…
I was a programmer on the engine that shipped Spider-Man: Friend or Foe.
maybe, but they make it up by having the animals say “no ... I am your fauna” every time he lightsabers them so you can really feel the emotional weight
That was deliberate.
Kind of a weak point considering you appear to be implicating that a place you still give business to (I mean, it wouldn’t stop me either) had a serious issue cleaning their slicers a few years ago. It’s also a concern for all the other subway places *not* getting hammered into obscurity.
Of the galaxy? Not very good guardians then.

There’s nothing inherently good or bad about artists changing source material. Sometimes it’s for the best, sometime it’s for the worse. Or sometimes they don’t change it, and that’s good, or sometimes they don’t change it, and that’s bad. Books are one medium. Putting it in any other medium is adapting it to another…
they don’t *deserve* to be excluded - like nobody deserves to be fat unless they’re fat but also killing cats or something - but perhaps not being able to ride certain amusement park rides doesn’t amount to an exclusion worth investing much concern in
“Even Space Mountain is disappointed with you, and it’s a goddamned insentient rollercoaster.”
dude I’m old too, but I hope by “at some point” you’re referring to the 1980s
Good list. ‘93 Til Infinity is one of those rare songs that just absolutely transports me to a time, a place, a mood, like ZAP. Kind of ironic with that name, but the song is absolutely timeless - the rest of the album is great ofc, but that song might be the absolute pinnacle of backpack rap for me.
I’m a programmer. I work on large commercial games like this. “Spaghetti code “ and “duct tape” are effectively synonyms in the context of large scale software development.
“It’s a huge risk, but I like it!” said nobody ever involved in making these kinds of decisions.
One of the many things true in life: if you’re asking a question, a dozen thousand smarter people than you are also asking that question.
My friend was the set designer on Crimes of the Future. Does that make me cool? Maybe.
You have to sell a lot more copies in today’s market to break even on “cutting edge” with a marketing campaign than you used to. That’s because the cost of developing games has gone up, and the price they sell at has gotten lower (given a price that hasn’t gone up commensurately with inflation.)
If only there was some kind of place in which we could work towards a consensus on the public record of what were the actual events and circumstance of the accident, and why it is the opinion of the DA that Baldwin is guilty of something.
