Did you seriously need to bring up Gamergate again? Look, I know you need to make things interesting but blaming this whole controversy (or any other controversy within the gaming community for that matter) on Gamergate is such an easy out that people use so often, that even people who are neutral in the situation

Two words: vocal minority

Guilt by association is an incredibly effective tactic and is exactly what’s going on here. Find a ‘group’ on the internet who’s membership is predicated entirely on an individual deciding to associate with it or not, and then blame the entire group for that individual’s behavior. Act like the group needs to somehow
