His comment about Tesla highlights the massive conflict of interest Musk has. No CEO should be in government, much less the world’s richest, with lucrative government contracts.

Used to love this site, but the comments have dropped off to under 10 on most posts, 20-40 on hot posts, and the occasional one with > 100 (Bucc’ee post). NPOND use to get 100+ comments routinely.

We already do that in my town - you can tell when the roads have been salted, you can see where the truck sprayed 10 or so parallel lines. Might not be “pickle” brine, but its some sort of brine; when it dries it looks like regular road salt. It doesn’t all get blown to the curb like rock salt and apparently works…
