God I hope not. Art is not some linear progression forwards towards some ideal state.

It’s a valid aesthetic. It might just be a game that’s not for you if you can’t play it because of it.

Yeah, I’m with you on this one, I have no idea who is going to be buying this. Even the design of the actual unit is bad. I see that they’re going for a retro-gaming vibe but they totally missed the mark. Retro gamers tend to want 80s style gear, not 70s faux wood paneling stickers and gold plastic. It looks cheap

I travel to a different state every 2 months as a medical worker.  I pre-ordered the Steam Deck because it seemed a lot more practical to take traveling than a laptop that costs more for similar specs.  Being able to play it on the toilet or just plug it into a tv/monitor tickled my whiskers :3

Who is this for? If you want to play “smaller” games use your phone or a Switch or something.
