HomeBrew supercharged Subaru Forester... 60% of the time it works Every Time.
WRX FA20 DIT engine has a low mount turbo. The turbo sits lower in the Wrx chassis and wouldn’t have enough ground clearance in a BRZ. I’m guessing the re-engineering of a turbo solution for the BRZ wasn’t in the cards. I also think other financial/marketing ideas were against the possibility of boosted first…
Ahhh nice, you hit the nail on the head I wanted exactly the opposite... leather and 20” wheels. Mainly because I was replacing a 1994 Land Cruiser FJ80, factory locked with 33” tires. “The BRZ’s FA20 here, I’d like to talk to you about lack of torque. Also, the nonbenefit of a torqueless valley in the middle of my rev-range.”
La réponse est toujours Alpin A110...
...and, “Hold my Whisky.”
I would love if Freiburger and Finnegan were to snag one of these for an episode.
