That a playoff should ‘build’ seems like a pretty arbitrary critique. What’s wrong with a slate of competitive, entertaining games (which these playoffs have provided)? Even hyped games between two ‘great’ teams with a lot of buildup can turn out to be duds.

The Pens have two of the best players of their generation, maybe of all time, and the Preds have plenty of talent. This Stanley Cup will definitely feature great teams.
