WELL YOU WON’T CAUSE SHE FUCKIN LOST HAHAHAHA
I think its theirs to lose, the question is what happens after a win. Do they go back to the old strategy of just trying to run the middle thinking they’ll win forever and ever thanks to demographic changes? Or do they accept the fact that they’re going to eventually lose again and try to really do something enduring…
Okay, but understand what I’m trying to get at here. “Centrism” does not exist as a coherent ideology. Centrists as I’d define them “people whose politics are basically that they do not have politics apart from extreme is bad” are real, and I would say people like Lipinski, Manchin, Doug Jones all fall into that…
Then why are you talking about what the definition of a centrist is and is not? Centrists aren’t real, its just the politicisation of not having politics.
The two genders.
What would you call it though? I don’t see “centrism” as having clear, defining characteristics the way that left and right do (breaking down vs. reifying socially constructed hierarchies). So in a practical sense, what is a centrist? What do they believe that isn’t just a soft version of something on the right or the…
I mean, there’s a pretty significant slice of democrats in the senate who vote with republicans on practically everything lately (Doug Jones, Tim Kaine, looking at you guys) so...
Oh I know. He took a bump on the turnbuckle and I saw his head snap back. not hitting anything but just snapping backward with a lot of velocity, and thought that was probably the end of that.
Yeah they’re in kind of a weird position where you almost want to get the angles that show exactly how much of a work it is.
It is, but the fact that (generally speaking) the things you’re doing to people are done with their full cooperation make it an order of magnitude safer than the NFL.
I think its more a question of whether he’ll allow it or not. He clearly thinks that getting back in the ring is worth some pretty significant health risks down the road (which, in fairness, he might have regardless because wrestling), so I think it comes down to a question of how much risk he’s willing to take. He…
Yeah that’s me too. I had fallen out of wrestling during the initial Daniel Bryan era so I only really became aware of him when he retired, and as much as I was excited to see him in action on a live broadcast I couldn’t get past the “OH MY GOD NOT THE HEAD” marking.
I appreciated that you could clearly see he did NOT take the bump on his head, as opposed to a shot that might make it look that way for effect.
Also true.
Yeah I live in a small city in Wisconsin now. The governor sucks but at least I don’t have to deal with my burning hatred for Rahm on a daily basis.
I’m from Chicago and use that experience as a test case for why unobstructed rule by democrats would ALSO be bad. A machine is a machine, republican or democrat, and political machines make corruption.
I mean, iirc Edge was told he could fucking die in the ring if he took the wrong bump (Sheamus has the same issue that retired Stone Cold and Edge and I nearly had a heart attack a couple weeks ago when it looked like Titus was going to drop him on his neck). That’s not really the issue with Bryan, its more long term…
A little from column A and a little from column B.
I dunno if its any worse than the rest of the world. I just know they tend to avoid the kind of nagging smaller injuries that tear up WWE guys because they do less singles stuff. You look at New Japan, their biggest guy right now is Kenny Omega and he’s back to working tag matches.
I dunno, there are ways that he can go full time and still protect himself. I wouldn’t be totally surprised to see him show up as Braun Strowman’s tag partner at Mania. Japanese promotions have a lot fewer injuries than WWE because they do more tag work, so maybe they partner him up with somebody. Sheamus has got to…
