There’s not a lot of room to write “the ol’ hidden ball trick” on most scorecards.

Look we can all die from AHCA, nuclear war, or climate change. It can’t be all thr...wait

Take my +1, please!

Of course people knew SOME doctrine without owning or being able to read the bible. That doesn’t change the fact that they were basically receiving what they knew orally from the authority of the pulpit, filtered through the mouths of clergy. I mean, this was the whole reason protestants wanted to translate the

I never said the price of books means the church was running a racket. Someone said that one of the differences was that scientology’s books are expensive. I said that book would have been out of reach of most people not that long in the past. I mean, in the period I studied the biggest monastic library in England

As a young, married man with a kid, I appreciate everyone, including and beyond the young single men, who are in favor of things like maternity and newborn care, which I need by proxy.

I have an M.A. in medieval history. Got it working on religious texts, hagiographies specifically, mostly Anglo-Saxon.

I linked it elsewhere. He said in an interview with Larry king that he’s more of a socialist or independent than a democrat. Not unequivocal but I also base it on his history of labor organizing with writers

Admittedly I’m arguing from absence. I can see no particular evidence, apart from her joining a women’s strike in March, that she has any particular stance on labor at all, which suggests that she’s never come out publicly with anything, at the very least. He, by contrast, has, even before the last writer’s strike.

Sorry, I got the streets reversed. It’s currently on 77th close to the Museum of Natural History.

Yes, I am and a white one too unless you count Jews as POC (I don’t). So now you can feel free to just not hear anything I say because you assume that a current of misogyny and racism underlies everything that I say. And you know what? Probably it does since I can’t help the culture I grew up in, but at least I know

Well none who have power currently, and that’s part of the problem. I’m not excusing Bernie Sanders or anyone else, male or female, here. It’s people in the streets who have the right idea.

Except that literally all of those people were there in the streets with them. You’re just pretending not to see. Ever heard of Bayard Rustin? We don’t HAVE to hate each other. We’re on the same fucking side.

You can’t respectfully disagree and then call the ideas “foolish and simplistic” without any backup. You’re just using the fact that “some” people on the left have exhibited misogyny and racism to totally dismiss any real consideration of the idea that capitalism is the root cause of a great many of our society’s

Activism and peopel who were loud enough in the face of opposition that nobody could help but listen. I promise you it wasn’t Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton’s “evolving” views on gay marriage that got the ball rolling there.

Yeah, cause the way it’s working out now has been so great. We’re literally one supreme court justice away from Roe v. Wade being overturned and gay marriage being illegal again, but no, this is working out great, no need to address and change the underlying system. How old is Ginsburg again?

I don’t think they come second, that’s my whole point. I think that economics are at the roots of many of these issues, and if you address them as linked you stand a better chance of solving them, rather than sitting around and praying that nobody overturns Roe v. Wade in the courts.

Avow - to assert or confess openly.

Maybe so, maybe no. I think you’d have a lot more to lose sitting out an entire season than sitting out a single game that everyone and their mother knows is meaningless. The vast majority of bowl games were largely meaningless even before the playoff system was implemented.
