Fart jokes rule.

Personally, I've liked Star Wars less and less as I've grown up, original trilogy included. It's really not as timeless as some people believe. Interestingly enough, my love of Star Trek has steadily increased in the same period.

Can't believe all these girls in Japan are wearing floral print summer dresses. Freakin SHEEPLE. Girls in the States totally never do this.

Nope. I'm a Gooner, and any league willing to take Andre Santos into its ranks is one I'm staying away from.

Sure, but I'm not suggesting we change human nature. I don't think Rodenberry was either. Human nature is one of the primary struggles in Star Trek, and the drama is often centered on overcoming it. The impressive thing about the society in Star Trek is that humans have gained an identity as a species. I think one

Oh man from the angle I thought that pic of the E was the NX-01. I retract my former statement, I love the E.

It's rough, sure. At this point we certainly have to rely on ourselves as individuals in order to push forward. I think that education is key in this change, but so is a real focus on expansion into space. Once space becomes an actual frontier for humans, I think a lot will begin to change.

Get out.

I hope that we at least aspire to the Star Trek ideal, but I'd also point out that society in Star Trek is merely aspiring. There have been plenty of villains in Star Trek who were motivated by very non-utopian ideas. It seems to me that Rodenberry and Co. were acutely aware of the shortcomings of humans, but

I'm probably in the minority of people who love the SuperBatMech. Granted, I love it because it's the stupidest fucking thing I've ever seen.

This. Thanks for posting it.

I hate this false binary of spirituality/science. I don't think spirituality is the opposing force to science. Clearly, the opposition is being anti-intellectual. I think Sagan and Tyson are both proof enough that science can be very spiritual.

I loved season one, and was willing to put up with season 2 because of the writers' strike. But season 3 was crap. Even early on, there were things that were bothering me. I really couldn't stand the kid and the mom. I liked the dad (was his name DL?), but they got rid of him after season 1 and I thought it was a

I assume you're talking about the guy who writes/draws Frazz.

Frazz is, day to day, the strongest comic in the newspaper. I see it less as a ripoff and more as an homage.

I'm not talking about the methods, just his bogus idea of how he'd only come back in an alternate universe.

I would direct you to the death of Captain America a few years back. You're wrong.

If you're fascinated by relics the way I am, I'd suggest reading Rag and Bone: A Journey Among the World's Holy Dead by Peter Manseau. Relics primarily serve as a vehicle for a discussion of faith, but there are plenty of bizarre and interesting stories.

That might be my favorite episode

Honestly, I've only played the demo and it didn't speak to me. Not that it's a bad game, just not as good and certainly not for me.

I'd go as far as saying every Ace Combat before Assault Horizon was good.

Holy crap what is Jamie Bamber doing in here? For the record, he's my pick to play Hal Jordan.

Get sleeping dogs. You will not regret it.
