The only thing I’ll give them is quickest to 40 from a standing start. Rolling start they’ll get smoked by most performance cars and lest not even get to quickest over a drag strip/track. The whole thing is a dumb marketing exercise so Iron Man can continue raising capital to paper over massive losses at all his

The car starts to limit power due to heat soak after the third 0-60 acceleration run.

Or instead of resorting to mob violence (no one likes junk mail, that’s just cruel) you could read more of the story from the guy who lives on the block. Apparently this guy is more of a hoarder and has had many many issues in the past. Apparently you’re not a big Paul Harvey fan.

There is ONE Supercharger anywhere near me, and it’s about 25 miles away from my home in the busy end of town. All the added savings of the tremendous acceleration are completely pissed away the FIRST time I make a special trip just to the Supercharger.

Wow, 3 paragraphs about 0-60 times comparisons? Trust me, no one buying a Ferrari is doing so because of a published 0-60 time. Let’s talk about how the Tesla does on the track. Ohh wait, they overheat and drain their battery after one road coarse lap.

MOE, you’re arguing a valid point with a bunch of kids that grew up with overly supportive parents. Pick up a brick and try again. Your results will probably be better.

In short, there’s a neighbour in the vicinity that has gotten tired of this guy using his yard as an industrial storage area, and finally found a law that sticks.

This is a rare, unusually clean picture. Extra cars are typically parked at a side angle to fit more in, especially during the winter time. There are multiple pickup trucks parked on the street as storage and occasional use.

Yes, definitely.

I’m all for this, otherwise you always end up with a amateur-wrenching-enthusiast that decides to improvise himself as a crown vic salvaging entrepreneur, disfiguring the neighborhood by hoarding beaters in his parents driveway.

As a mechanical engineer, I 100% approve this message.

I mentioned in a separate thread that if it was a kers like thing which was verified to start empy, I would at least consider it a valid approach. I agree it might add some strategy to the whole thing, and having the rider provide the energy during the event eliminates most of my objections.

As a cyclist, I don’t

what the fuck are you talking about? How on gods green earth do you get paid for writing such a idiotic article?

WTF?

Clickbait - yep, you got me

No. The Olympics are a test of human skill and athleticism. The bicycle only converts human locomotion into rotational power. Adding in any other method of energy would undermine the most basic spirit of the games.

the tesla fanboys don’t realize their little car overheats after a few 1/4mi runs...or a few laps around any racetrack.

The Turbo S does everything better than a Tesla - acceleration, braking, turn-in, power delivery mid-corner. It would be faster EVERYWHERE. That’s what it does. The Tesla is a family car with an impressive straight-line gimmick. Even a standard Carrera, hell -a Boxster -would beat a Tesla everywhere on track.

That second part goes well beyond Tesla’s Autopilot.

Indeed, people not paying attention have always been a menace.
