I wish it was that way with my dad. In my case, it was I who converted him to become an Apple fanboy. I do guess, however, that he funded my hardcore Magic School Bus PC gaming when I was in kindergarten.

Um... No. Try explaining to my 80-something year old great aunt Ro who doesn't own a computer that the Yellow Pages isn't coming because a bunch of 20-somethings own iPhones.

@spydr101: The 3G and the 3GS looked the same. This is a new design. Are we looking at the same thing?

Looks like I'm getting an iPhone 4! PS: What do you do if it does look like the old one and it's not made by Apple?

Amen.

@Eulatos: It just sucks because I live an hour away from 3 Apple Stores in different directions. I have to figure out how I'm going to convince someone to make a trip out of it.

@geolemon: Don't get me started with my white MacBook. The bezel around the screen cracks and the area where your wrists end up cracks too. Apple only covers the bezel and I had to pay for the wrist area. I think I had to pay because I wound up with a new keyboard and trackpad in the process.

@blukejohnson: Hmmm. This actually sounds like a great idea. I might exchange my white 3GS for a new one under AppleCare, and give it to my sister in exchange for her early iPhone 4 upgrade. Does AppleCare reset after you get a replacement phone (my launch day 3GS's touch sensor had faulty wiring or something so mines

Yikes, that looks glossy. Hopefully it doesn't crack like my white iPhone. PS: Bask in the glory of my photo editing skills...

Wait a second... If this things in your home, will your phone route your data through the MicroCell or through your wifi? Because isn't data through the MicroCell technically through your router? I'm perplexed.

I might have to steal the iPhone 4 I reserved for my Dad for father's day. Oh the betrayal...

Get rid of that nasty custom UI and I'll think about it.

Um.. Don't get me wrong, BP sucks right now, but still I thought defamation was grounds for app rejection.

Let me say this for the grillionth time: Steve said during the keynote that FaceTime will be WiFi only for the first year. He says the carriers requested a year to strengthen before an over-the-air launch. At the speed our lawmaking moves at, it'd be wise to start building a law now.

I need to take my sister's upgrade (it's consensual); anyone know how to pull that off or would I have to do that in-store?
