Guess I am missing something here, but what is the point of combining multiple feeds like this? You can already go through several feeds at once by tossing them all in a folder in google reader. I felt that was a pretty basic feature, do other readers lack that?

Are you really trying to defend this article? Four sentences and the most misleading title imaginable, if this was an Apple story it would be 6 pages long and be about how great it was that they were furthering voice recognition

The only scoring system I like is would recommend/wouldnt recommend along with a lot of text explaining why. Anything else ends up giving everything 80%+ on whatever system they use because giving a 50% (what should be the definition of average) is perceived as terrible. Everyone scores on different criteria too, and

It would be hipster if people were doing it because it was less mainstream. Doing it for an actual reason=/=hipster.

@thejewosh: Its a bit more complex than that. The human eye has been measured as being able to recognize an object when shown for 1/200th-1/300th of a second. But actually discerning differentiation of FPS is much more difficulty, but most agree it can handle ~100 at least. It certainly isnt 30fps.

@RicoTheSaboteur: Movies are done in 24fps, TV in 30fps. To avoid any issues, they make TVs at common multiples of both, hence the 120, 240 on most modern TVs. If they did movies in 64fps the movie wouldnt be able to match up with TVs

Why is cable free such an overwhelmingly important criteria for a desk? Its a minor aesthetic trade off for a similar amount of function. That is to say, regardless of how little, you actually lose convenience when going wireless or hiding wires. You will need to change batteries (if only once a year), if you ever add

The thing is though, newer plants are designed to work as long as gravity functions and immediately shut off in case anything does happen. The chance of anything happening isnt on the same level of airplane crashes, it is ridiculously safer than that. Sure it is possible for their to be design flaws, but it has gotten

Japan actually reprocesses its nuclear waste, so they end up with a tiny, tiny amount of dangerous waste compared to the US. As well they are a bit less insane with what they classify as nuclear waste iirc. Here we consider leftover bits of ore that we already extracted most of the usable materials from as nuclear

Might not want to show it to your boss. They might be keen enough to notice the only research in this article is a survey and the rest is assumptions. Of course, we can trust survey results since psychological studies have proven people to be 100% honest with their honor system survey answers.

I've had nothing but hatred for the various dell wireless sets at work. Not that anyone would buy them if they werent under contract to use dell. Honestly, if you can stand two wires go wired. No charging, batteries, no once in a blue moon disconnects or lag.

So Ive been look for alternatives for various gawker media blogs. Trying out Endgadget and Joystiq, only complaint so far is that they are a bit too dry. I havent found anything to really replace Lifehacker a all. Any suggestions?

Terrible article. The PS3 works out of the box, the only reasonable hidden cost in the article is the $3 HDMI cable (which really should have been included). Everything else gives you extra functionality beyond the base console or is just stupid (who needs a longer usb cable?)

Chick-fil-a by me has had these for about two weeks now. Thoughts so far: harder to open than regular packets, but contain a few packets worth. Fairly nonplussed either way, but hey, its a ketchup container. Not much excitement there.

Wow, second link is to the ca.kotaku.com version of the article. Thanks!

I liked Dragon Age, but it was a pretty damn simple generic RPG. It had this tactic system, with more slots even. Honestly it was so simple the tactics for the game boiled down to kill mage first, then wait a few seconds as your party makes its way through the unimportant mobs. Im not exaggerating there, that is

@Samakar: I love you so much.

So...am I missing something about the new layout or is this entire post just picture and a title?

Uh, Japan's Walt Disney was Osamu Tezuka. The two were actually acquaintances as well.

I think Amazon will pull the apple app before giving apple such a ridiculously undeserved cut. The numbers running the app apple products has to be tiny. Kindles still sells like hotcakes, and with android phones steadily gaining on iphones and poised to strike at ipads, apple really doesnt have much weight to throw
