The problem is that Trump’s pullout of Syria has absolutely nothing to do with ending permanent war (he’s already gone through expanding campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan). He would (and likely will) get us involved in a different full scale ground war, my bet is Iran now that Mattis/Kelly won’t be there to stop him.
