The update they gave to people that spent 10,000 dollars for the feature and did not mention in any paperwork when they spent that money nor were told was coming in the update. The removal of the update was 3 months after it was discovered leaving people that spent 10,000 with a feature they were unsure if they could

I’m still amazed that there’s so little to take the 2J’s place. The modern LS is about all we’ve got when it comes to an available, affordable route to four-figure power.

No I understand they are a new company I just had issue with their attitude from the get go. You can’t talk shit and then release subpar $140,000 products.

Me neither, my buddies brand new Model S had more problems than my 2 year old Mercedes.

Or they could have limited it to somewhere in the middle up front and probably never had an issues. But no... tesla is the best and they are infalliable.

If I worked there, aside from the fact that the acquisition would be something done to me rather than something I chose, I would be very concerned about my bosses putting all our eggs - and therefore my job - in one basket. And how they were irreversibly destroying the industry reputation of the company, and probably

If it were just about not taking new contracts it would not have made the news unless we were talking about a company with no contracts or severe financial troubles.

The answer is that Musk, while very lucky and very good at schmoozing money out of venture capitalists is not a very good businessman really, and can’t seem to hire and keep people that make up for his flaws.

Actually yes, barring escape clauses in the contracts Tesla is legally required to complete the work that the company it bought was contracted to do. Just because you buy a company does not mean that the contracts that existed beforehand cease to exist.

Because we are talking about shoot first ask questions later Musk

“We’ve revolutionized automotive supply chains by simply ignoring contracts we don’t want to fulfill. While other traditional car companies are dragged down by their business agreements, we are able to react to market demand unburdened by contractual obligations.”

But as Tesla subsidary, they will simply be absorbed and bad reputation will be meaningless, but it may cost Tesla a lot when contracts are breached

My vote it Dirk Digler

Glossed over might be more of the correct term.....remember the its the best car we ever tested...off the scalefrom Consumer Reports that they then had to walk back because the car was kind of a pile? Or the woman that was quoted as saying that she wouldnt accept the same problems on her Escalade vs her Tesla,

I feel like this might be the bigger takeaway in the article that shows just how naive Musk is:

I worked for a large OEM automotive supplier. When Tesla announced their production plan through 2020 everyone I spoke to agreed the targets were ludicrous if not an outright lie.

I am in supply chain at a fortune 100 company, at their largest facility. No one outside of supply chain gets how difficult it is to keep a company operating. Everyone thinks all you do is cut POs and magically everything shows up on time with no issues....... yeah right

Thats my main problem with Tesla, its the slack they get. Yes, the car is pretty cool and fast and what not, but there are many issues, that for a long time were swept under the rug by the fandom.

No shit. Everyone familiar with a production environment thought his claims were crazy from the start.
