Fuck that.

You could listen to virtually any speech she’s given or tune into a debate sometime, because she gets much more specific on the topic than Bernie, but congratulations, I decided to reward your laziness with a link to her page that has detailed policy proposals on the subject:

You dont need to look exactly like the person you’re playing if you capture their essence and their mannerisms - like Philip Seymour Hoffman did as Truman Capote.

Here’s the thing: Zoe is Black. Beyonce is Black. We can all be Black because race is context specific. As a lighter skinned Black American woman, I’ve been told that I wouldn’t be considered Black in quite a few contexts. That’s cool, but I grew up a Black woman in the US and you or anyone else can’t take that away

Right, like there would be a biopic about Marilyn Monroe as a redhead or Princess Di as a brunette. Her blonde hairdo was an important part of her brand.

I disagree. There is no moving of the goalposts. She’s Black. Some people will try to say otherwise and they’d be wrong. She’s AfroLatina. She’s Black. Both of her parents are Black. She codes as Black. She’s Black.

And like I SAID, your opinion is not an informed one since you are speaking on issues that have a different context for Black people. So of course your opinion, though you have the right to have it and yap about it all the livelong day, is not as important as that of someone WHO IS ACTUALLY BLACK. Do you know what

omg i hate when 15 year old girls with talents do things to help further their careers and then when they get successful and therefore can negotiate more power over their brand and artistry, try a new direction with their music after like 10 years. fuckin bitches.
