Good news for you ahead of time - Color Splash sticks the landing. Just great from start to finish!

So the 32 GB size seems ridiculous, but I would argue that it's not a bad thing. Hear me out :)
I got the ending in which you let the fire die. It was themetically relevant, and actually my favorite ending in a Dark Souls game. It may be one of my favorite game endings overall, despite being low-key (or perhaps because of that), as the game allowed me to end it in exactly the fashion I wanted to. Perfect end to…
That's a top-tier audiobook! Enjoy. It's also got something of the mystery and grandeur that would dovetail well with a visit to Lordran.
This weekend… I don't know what I'll be playing. I've kind of been in limbo since finishing Dark Souls 3 last weekend. Mostly, that means I'm continuing to plow through Hyrule Warriors Legends, having only now unlocked the Master Quest Adventure map. I really should have looked that up earlier! Apparently you need to…
I'm mildly happy that the Switch will use cartridges, given the advantages you cite, but it's never been too big a deal to me. It is nice that we'll get many of the benefits (quicker load times) of digital downloads, while still retaining a hard copy of the product to re-sell at some future date.
That's terrible. As pro-life Catholics attending that event in DC, my wife and I were kind of bummed to hear the event organizers rather pointedly leave us out in the cold too. We're still going since, as I wrote above, the opposition movement consists of numerous, disparate interests and combined efforts are likely…
I suspect one of the biggest purposes for the touchscreen may be eventual virtual console compatibility. It would be pretty much necessary for DS or 3DS ports/VC releases, and those could reasonably be directed towards off-screen play only. Making touch-necessary elements for games with a docked mode present would be…
With regard to controllers, the Pro Controller and the Joycon Grip should mitigate some of the development standardization issues that plagued the Wii era. That said, the Wii U featured a pretty standard controller scheme and that didn't bring in any additional support.
I don't know if I'd go so far as to say "disgusting," but the decision really is a shame from both a consumer and a business perspective. I can confidently say that I'll not be spending $50 on 1 2 Switch, but Nintendo Land was the most immediate cause for me buying a Wii U.
Eh, it's a commercial TV console flop, but I've enjoyed the Wii U I bought in 2014 more than most consoles I've owned over the years. And I even say that as someone who didn't like the Wii and was largely a PS2 supporter back in the 2000s. The game library is small, but incredibly diverse and tightly crafted.
I don't think this is fair. There are geniunely people who enjoy the specific direction of Nintendo development - an emphasis on rarely doing the same thing twice, having extremely stable games that work out of the box, focusing on local multiplayer, and creating content that is family-friendly and accessible to a…
GAMES THREAD
Halfway through Midnight at the Pera Palace, about Istanbul's development between World Wars One and Two. Great, super-readable stuff.
Ugh, tough times call for coalition-building and looking past the smaller divisions between causes, not for alienating potential allies with one-upsmanship; I thought the same when I saw a post-election protest with a BLM protester chiding supporters that they should have been out protesting earlier. I support BLM,…
One of my favorite aspects of Trump's recent comments on healthcare is that what he's suggested (incoherently) is actually more like a European socialist healthcare system than the one we have. I mean, he's obviously blowing hot air, but it does put the lie to seeking a repeal along classic ideological lines.
Argh, Marylander here but that fish fry sounds fantastic. Reminds me of the meals my grandmother would make when I was growing up.
I've never made a kale caesar salad (or any caesar salad, actually), but the one that Wegman's makes is really great!
I heard that some enterprising hikers took a variety of hardware on a mountain hike (I was to say Everest?) and the 3DS was the only piece that worked at every stage of the journey. Can't find the story now, so… take this with a grain of salt. That said, here's a pretty cool link to the battery of tests done to…
If nothing else, this is the rumor, but you always wonder how much is true and how much is PR designed to sell consoles.
