That's a good point - giving players the option would be an improvement. Everyone should be able to have their ideal experience, particularly when it's as easily customizable a feature as this.

I fear I may have been ambiguous in my comment - I think the OP's point is valid insofar as you'd want people with different perspectives reviewing the game. What I disagree with is the notion that making the game more accessible is a negative development. Sorry for the lack of clarity in my comment above.
I just played it earlier this year, and even though I wasn't thrilled about the game overall, I did think it pulled off one heck of a killer ending. Everything about the climax (well, everything after that stupid puppet) was perfect.
That's a good point, and bear in mind I'm only speaking from what I'll acknowledge is a perspective limited by my own likes and dislikes. I'd argue for something along the lines of what The Witcher 3 or Game of Thrones/Song of Ice & Fire does - the primary text featuring a coherent narrative with characters and plots…
Looks like this is an instance of the trainer doing the gestures necessary to execute a z-move. Normally I'd be right there with you, but I'm pretty sure this illustration is based on that game feature.
This actually makes me pretty happy to hear. I'd only heard from people celebrating the change, and one of my favorite parts about online communities is finding people to broaden my worldview with different perspectives. I'd genuinely never thought about the fact that having a team oriented around both navigation and…
Oh, I'll give that contrast/brightness fix a shot. Even though I had gotten through most of The Witness with no trouble, when I switched it on a week ago I got a little queasy after only a half hour of playing.
On the plus side, the New 3DS has one of the most compelling, solid libraries available right now (especially when you throw in its backwards compatibility with DS titles).
Yup, I've enjoyed my disastrous runs as much as my successful ones. Heck, I've played more disasters than I have victories, haha.
That's a wretched situation with your mom. Good on you for taking the time to pitch in hard and get her acclimated to her new condition. Also good on you for the arm and a leg bit - my family is that way too ;-)
Weirdly, the more I think about Minish Cap, the more I realize it may be my favorite 2D Zelda game. I mean, Link's Awakening and Link Between Worlds are right up there, but Minish has such beautiful sprite animation and such a lively hub town.
Wow, I actually remember exactly who you're talking about, though I can't remember the context. Maybe in the Pokemon movie newswire?
Uh-whaaaat?! I didn't realize I could dye my clothes at that shop (not sure what I thought the dye shop was for…). Cool news, as I'd really like to snazz up my character.
I'd actually strongly disagree with this perspective, if only because I've been playing the series since the start and still can't recall all of the type matchups. There's hardly a case to be made against making a game series accessible to newcomers, especially when it doesn't compromise the experience for veterans.
It's soundtrack is indeed fantastic, although I started playing it on the heels of a game that may have the best soundtrack I've yet encountered, Paper Mario: Color Splash. I think it's the Eldin Volcano music that I'm particularly fond of, though most of the music was great.
Yeah, that's the impression I'm getting. I feel so torn about the look of the game on Wii U, since it's hard for me not to notice the framerate issue; I actually wish I could scrub the part of my brain that notices that kind of thing (since I appreciated N64 games perfectly well at the time), but now it's hard to…
That sounds awful! I was lucky enough to have the wiimote work perfectly (most of the time), but I'd imagine any alternative would have made the game entirely unplayable.
I'm another X/Y devotee, and I'm still on the fence about whether I liked that one or this one more. Of course, I'm still far from completion, so my opinion remains largely unformed, but mega-evolutions are dearly missed. I never enjoyed super training as such, though I wish it had been replaced with something else…
As a person who has been playing the series since 1997, I've never had any stomach for the EV business. It sucks the life out of the game for me, though I'm glad it exists for other people who like the more technical side of things. It's still very possible for an amateur to beat an expert in the online modes, so at…
That is one epic tale of deal-questing. And it's even got an exciting cliffhanger. I'll be hoping for the best on your attempt to pick up Awakening at a solid discount!
