Wow, I think the only one of those I've played is FFIX, and that did emotionally resonate with me. I have a PS3, so I really need to check out The Last of Us one of these days…

Huh, how odd. I'll have to double check my flags.
What's with those guys?!
I was almost happy to see that this was the case, since it may finally bring attention to the fact that having unsecured internet connections in household devices may not universally be a good thing.
Not sure on your system, but if you've got a 3DS or Wii U, here are some notable RPGs from 2016:
I'm not sure anyone has played Xenoblade X and not dumped at least one Skell in that pit. On the plus side, it stands out as one of the more hilarious/awful memorable moments in a game full of memorable moments.
Firewatch is the only game that's ever made me cry, so there's that. I'm really quite impressed with it, both from a narrative and aesthetic perspective. Likely the best narrative game I've played in 2016 (The Witness would probably have to be best overall).
It's so utterly impossible to imagine my mother being interested in Dark Souls, so I'll just have to live that peculiarity vicariously through you.
Wow, that's shocking to me. The REmake always strikes me as the perfection of the first phase of the Resident Evil franchise. The thought that it was anything less than a marvel (it remains visually engaging even today) is unthinkable. Still, if it resulted in the unimpeachable RE4, I guess I can't complain.
I remember having significantly more positive reactions to Code Veronica and Resident Evil 5 than the wider critical world, but your mileage may vary. I did play 5 with a friend in college, and I've heard that makes a lot of difference. Not sure how Code Veronica has aged. One thing that I've never done is go back to…
Man, that's the truth isn't it?
Oh, this is fascinating! I didn't know that.
So I'm finally getting to respond to your comment after Disqus was out at my office PC all day - I think the "200 battle card" flag refers to buying 200 battle cards at the shop in town. It's unfurled for me too. I think I have three unfurled currently, and it feels like it'll take forever to succeed at beating the…
I love the animations more generally, but the one part of the demo I really disliked was Team Skull. Something about them rubbed me the wrong way, but I could see them being a hit more generally.
Oh man, I can't disagree enough with the less-interesting-each-generation Pokemon take. There's something to be said for it, since the original 150 were so memorable, but I think I actually have more nostalgia for the ones from Gold & Silver (HOOTHOOT!), and the recent generations have given us Tyrunt, Pumpkaboo,…
Ugh, lousy hackers kept me from WAYPTW for most of the day. I didn't realize how much I enjoyed this thread as my Friday treat until now! As with paradise, I didn't know what I had 'til it was gone.
Wouldn't shock me if that was the primary reason to opt for analog triggers, given Nintendo's other recent looks back at its Gamecube days (new 3DS Pikmin, TPHD, and the evident Double Dash influence on the Mario Kart Switch shots).
Everything about this is gold.
Huh, Id never realized that was a peril of streaming, but I guess I'm thinking more of the older style (good heavens) of Let's Play where it was pre-recorded.
Ugh, it was awful. How could I find out what everyone was playing this weekend?! At least I got in my comment before access went down.
