I'm just the opposite, but I didn't care much for the Wii. Motion controls were not for me at all. My Xbox 360 library is bigger than the Wii U's, but I've likely spent more time on the Wii U games.

I'd make the case that the best Wii U games are the ones designed for it, but even in the case of GBA Castlevanias and Metroids, those were published circa 2002-2005.

You, sir, are really feeling it.

Same. If anything, that seems to be its greatest strength.

Sure, that's a valid concern. The unwillingness to unify accounts and purchases is actually my only major frustration with Nintendo's performance on the Wii U and 3DS. It feels like such a lousy cash-grab. To be fair, I think the only game I've been suckered into buying twice is Super Mario World, but I'd buy that for

There's something so utterly magical about blaring a tinny horn using the big virtual button on the gamepad.

Hooray!

If the Wii U is any indication, it seems reasonably likely that certain games will be designed heavily around certain control schemes and will offer less flexibility, while others that are more standard fare (or ports) will have greater control options. I doubt it will be a major hurdle for design.

I decided sometime to go all-in on the reduction of credibility I have as an adult, and regularly bring my 3DS with me, playing it on public transportation, waiting rooms, etc. This was based on the theory, once I had a successful career with my own family and home, that my credibility was high enough to willfully

As someone with motion sickness who foolishly opted to try Mario Kart DS in the passenger seat of a car, I can confirm your theory.

Oh, good catch!

I mean, your hands would basically be tied. We couldn't hold it against you. Still, good call on the early bird (voting) special.

A second screen may be the quintessential example of Nintendo inventing something that I thought was stupid and then turning it into something that I just adore. From the touch-based Zelda titles to the use of it for reference material in RPGs, it really came to be appreciated. I'll be sad to see it go, but at least

Nice Dry Dry shoutout

This is pretty much what converted me into the Nintendo fold over the past couple of years.

Solid rule.

Oh man, the absence of King Boo and Birdo are my main beefs with Mario Kart 8. I think I drove as them more than anyone else in Mario Kart Wii. I'd also make the case for the inclusion of Petey Piranha and Queen Bee, though I haven't actually ever played the games they appear in - I just love 'em.

DS Virtual Console would definitely be doable, as the only way I've played DS games on my Wii U is entirely on the GamePad.

I was kind of heartened to both see new videos of Breath of the Wild on Wii U running smoother than at E3, and also happy to see that the preview clip of it on Switch looked pretty much identical. I'd hate to feel shafted by a subpar version on my Wii U come 2017.

I'm pretty excited to see From Software on the list. Bloodborne on a console I am interested in owning? A man can dream.
