Visiting the eShop site occasionally is helpful, but I agree with DrFlimFlam that Nintendo Everything is probably your best bet for aggregating relevant 3DS news.

Oof, sales for Nintendo products are always a challenge, though they've had more promotions over the past year than I recall before that. Not sure if new releases are your thing, since you're looking at one of the more excellent library's in game history, but you can get 20% off new releases for the 3DS at Best Buy or

Someday I'm going to pick up those DS DQ games. I hear V is incredible. I almost got the Android port, but skipped in favor of putting the cash towards DQVII 3DS.

I remember sort of bouncing off the original release way back in 2001 or so, but its reputation has been enhanced over the years. Similarly, I've been on a similar journey, coming to the conclusion through Xenoblade Chronicles X and the Zelda series that 'world restoring' games are probably my favorite sub-genre these

Whatever it takes! That move is pretty cool.

I want to get to the mountain so badly!! I'm currently stuck on the plant elevator puzzle (where a cord is busted and you can't ascend any higher) and the final sound-based puzzle (on the grate that flips up). I haven't turned it back on in a week, since I really find myself at a loss on those, but it feels like it

I've become something of a Hyrule Warriors fanatic over the past year, as my combined playtime on the Wii U and 3DS versions is something I'd rather not see. With that in mind, I can heartily recommend the game as a single-player or cooperative experience. Many of my favorite sessions have occurred on the 3DS version,

Following up on this, my wife does play games, but they tend to be of the resource-management variety (or tower defense). She tends to find herself really thrown off on games in which the player manages a "camera", but still found Hyrule Warriors accessible. There was a bit of a learning curve, but she's someone who

Majora's Mask is one of those rare games where the rewards are sometimes more about the journey than the destination - the frogs are a good example. The piece of heart is a nice bonus, but given the characters' personalities and the connection a player feels to Termina, I think reuniting the frog choir is sort of its

This sounds pretty cool! I hadn't even heard of Final Fantasy Dimensions, and it sound like a heck of a throwback to the SNES Final Fantasy titles. Might have to check that out.

Thanks for the rundown on all of these StreetPass games. I'd actually not even been aware the games existed until some commenters told me about them earlier this year, and had then re-forgotten until Nintendo recently promoted the new batch. Maybe it's time for me to finally take the plunge.

I'm seeing double! Four LittleMacs!

Same for me. I hadn't cared about it one way or the other, but the - I want to say - E3 footage from this year really got me interested. That and the studio's plan to publish it on Wii U.

You know, that code is all I've ever really wanted.

I wasn't in love with the genre back when it was a big thing, even though I was exactly the right age for it. Banjo-Kazooie and the Mario titles were amazing, but none of the other major hits spoke to me. With that in mind, I've been very curious to see what the upcoming revival brings - I'm slightly more interested

Nice Ty shout-out!

This sounds very cool, and except for being aware of the name, this is the first I've heard about it. It sounds like some kind of strange blend of Mega Man Legends and Dark Souls, along with one of those odd Pokemon-inspired buddy systems of the early '00s. I'll definitely be putting it on my Steam wishlist. Thanks

Do it! 3DS is the best!

I was surprised how much of Majora's Mask I was able to complete without a guide, but in the end I ended up needing one to finish a number of sidequests and secure the Fierce Diety mask. As you said, I'm not sure how a fair amount of it was possible without extra-textual sources.

I finally got a solid run going on Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. I've bounced off it in the past, but am really enjoying it!
