@TheFu: haha this is great, I actually have all that (not the WD, although what a great idea, but the piano isn't far from a media nettop that I could probably dual-output) and even a big green button that I can probably figure out how to program. Ideally it would've been an e-ink reader to save what's left of my

@wjglenn: Good idea, but the advantage of an e-reader would be easier to read text. Sheet music is already kinda hard to read, so that's why I was hoping for something with e-ink, as it seems to have a more natural screen? But this is a good backup idea. :)

I've been scanning my piano music for months now for a potentially paperless music environment (no more books that don't stay open or pages that fall on the floor!).

Any advice for scanning Sheet Music? The sad part is that the page sizes are not standard, but it would be a really cool idea to scan it all in and have it available in an ebook reader, sitting right on the piano.

@1parrotgirl: Ginger tea, grapefruit juice? These always make me feel better when I'm sick.

@icecreamman: Why not just reconsider what goes inside your burrito? Maybe get a wheat tortilla, stuff it with chicken or eggs instead of beef or pork, and add lots of veggies and very little cheese. There's a place near my office that does kimchee burritos, marinated cabbage in a burrito is not only super-yummy but

@emartinezthree: If you have record locking set up properly ([stackoverflow.com] and you have your data set up in a backend with a distributed front end ([www.utteraccess.com] it should be fine for your purpose. But I second leaderbuilder's response that SQLServer backend is a better approach for a multi-user

@emartinezthree: I don't know enough about Lotus Approach to really answer, but maybe something like Visio (which can help with data modeling) could help?

@bobkoure: VOIP.ms provides 911 service (or maybe it was the voip I was using before? I remember doing something for 911) or maybe I don't have it, but I live in a condo and my neighbors have normal phones (and my only roommate is a cat). But that was a great question. :)

The VOIP post got me thinking about the phone setup I'm currently using, but part of my problem is that I don't quite understand what are all the parts I need and how they fit together. Does anyone have a link to a good site to explain it all? The terminology makes my head spin.

@bphall74: The mac keyboard drives me nuts while using Windows. There's no delete key, and you need to remember what the F keys are all about (and a few other things, also if you're using VPN to a windows setup). Especially if you're gonna code. If it weren't for the keyboard, then IMHO it wouldn't matter which.

@Johann Schmidt: I've had that exact arm for nearly a year now and it's really great, very flexible. I use it for my mini PC that lives in the kitchen, the arm attaches to my kitchen counter and if I have visitors or whatever I can swing it back and forth and adjust viewing angles and such.

How apropos that this is XBMC week...I finally finished my mini PC with Mint and XBMC, and it's soooo coool! This weekend I added MythTV to XBMC, and it works...but I'm having trouble with the EPG (tv guide). The instructions on the MythTV site are for an older version than the current one (0.24) and aren't very

@pinecone99: I've been trying to use SharePoint but the gov't (my employer) has it so locked down it's damn near impossible. Mostly I use it as an intrantet/document collaboration tool, also I use it to link into my Access databases and Excel spreadsheets, and have built a Word document template/address system (using

@tacotime: awww, I had that done two years ago and the awful memory is still burned in my brain. hope your kindle cheers you up.

@Xazi2003: Thanks for the laugh! :D

Anyone heard of Waze?

@curtis07: I was thinking talk2me@firstnamelastname.com would be fun for non-business correspondence.
