@Skyjumper: Wondering if there's anything with tests of Kirby vs. Dyson (off to do a google search next...)

@nowdevidebyzero: Trumpets are AWESOME (I did this too) and you MUST check out this site: [abel.hive.no] (The Comeback Trumpeter's Guide)
@Platypus Man: My kitty used to hop in the bathtub with me, he loves water so much. I had one of these fountains for him for years and he would play with it all the time, but the running water made me want to pee all the time, so at some point I disbanded it. I also switched him to a raw food diet (Primal) and since…
Had a run-in with a Kirby salesman yesterday. Anyone know if they're any good? Worth anywhere near the $1200 they sell for? I'll tell ya one thing, it got my pet-and-wine stained carpet from 1982 clean....
As an MS Office "developer" I couldn't live without the suite, including Access, the aps working together can do a lot of stuff you can't do otherwise. But if I were just looking to make a document or spreadsheet, I wouldn't bother with Office.
@vinylrake: My experience is that a person can "not like cats" or be a dog person, or whatever, but can still love a member of his/her family, no matter how stupid...bummer, that's all.
@Layne Smith: What do you do to keep the door open? I started with a method similar to this, but anytime anyone came over, they closed the closet door, and I got a prezzie.
@vinylrake: dude, I think you need to give the cat away and get a dog. Sounds you don't like her much :(
@TheFu: I had a long conversation with support at that site. Apparently the big advantage to Sager is upgradeability, they build the body so you can get to everything and work on it. Sounds interesting.
@TheFu: AmishJohn just posted a link to a site that has laptops with 1080p, this one comes in around $900: [www.xoticpc.com]
@AmishJohn: Wow! I remember seeing that "Sager" brand a long time ago. Yeah, monster is right ;)
@TheFu: Well, that's sorta the problem. I remember your Open Thread post a few months ago and that you went for the hp, but I have had *SUCH* bad experiences with hp (you just confirmed too), and now Dell is becoming equally as bad, not just support but quality hardware-wise too, and that scared me.
@lindsayk: Karaoke! (and depending on your 'rents, that can either repell them or maybe they'll sing backup)
@VictoriaFinch: that's a good point, comfortable keyboard is a plus, will take a look :)
@UnMicD: hehe, hear ya on the bloatware, I'll probably do the same.
@xkl: Love my HTC Touch Pro2, and you could easily do all of this with it, just get it off ebay (that's how I got mine, and the prices are coming waaaay down), install Garmin or TomTom or whatever app, no carrier required to use the GPS (as long as you install the maps from a dedicated program) or Wireless.
@pkl007: There's a product called Shake Away, it's supposed to be non-toxic, organic, etc. I've used the rodent version to keep them out of my compost, and it really worked...probably made of vinegar or something, but the shake can is convenient and it's not expensive. I don't know if it'll work for trees, but it…
Hoping for some laptop recommendations, I'm in the beginning stages of shopping.
@vinylrake: Ah, an other-realm creature. Has he mastered the cheshire smile/fade in/out? Yeah, probably not worth it, but sounds like a cool cat ;)
