@vinylrake: litterbox-central.com has a whole section on toilet training. It's actually a great idea, but if you have more than one cat, it's useless if one of your cats doesn't agree with it.

@Matt Kruse: +1 I did a motion detecting, battery powered LED light I found on Amazon. After I added the light I noticed they used it even more, espcially my old guy who has poor vision to begin with.

I've had something similar for a while now, using a CatGenie (which requires very little human maintenance) and a utility closet...check out Litterbox-central.com for details, pics, and diagrams.

I tend to pick my plants based on whether the supermarket offers less healthy/less local produce. There are some things that just aren't found very often at farmers' markets, and I'd rather have home grown rather than stuff that's been travelling a long time and grown under unknown conditions.

@suburbancowboy: Huh, I never knew about that! I don't personally use the wheatgrass, though...The 2 cats generally never let the grass get more than an inch tall, so it only sits for days from seed to food, maybe that makes a difference?

@Glyn Costello: While nicesocks response is interesting, and I do, in theory agree with the overall theme/intention/idea of letting a kitty be a kitty (and eliminating cars), it's not helpful for many people who either do not agree with that philosophy or cannot for practical reasons allow kitty outdoor access. I

@Mr.Gawn: I have the one made by CTLCorp...I wanted something that I could take heavy-duty travelling (including Cuba) and they make a netbook that is *very* rugged. [www.ctlcorp.com]

@Maave: Thanks! This is my first real attempt at linux (other than messing with a netbook that already had it installed), so I didn't realize it was all about the skins :)

@cameron: Yep, it's an Atom CPU, but it's over a year old, not a newer one.

I have a little touchscreen/tablet convertible netbook that had Win 7 RC on it for the longest time. Now it's time to find a new operating system. Is there a flavor of Linux that will work with the tablet-like capabilities of the netbook?

@SpudDude: Why not get one of those wireless cards like Sprint has with 4g and an iTouch and connect to the card wirelessly? Then you can use it for other things as well (ie. laptop).

@Improbus: my friend went crazy spending $$$$ on a hypoallergenic cat, but her daughter was allergic to it anyway, she ended up giving it away.

@TheOtherHalf: I believe the issue is contact with dander, so a filter won't help. Get the boys some shots and use the vaccuum like crazy. Today's kitties are awesome cute, who could resist? Certainly not Pepe le Peu.

@gMan: +1 on the Credit Union, many have all the luxuries you seek.

@nightryder21: Thank you for that. When I went there, even so, MS couldn't recognize my WinMo 6.1 phone :( but then offered up a page with lots of WinMo downloads. Very odd.

Borax was awesome at getting the tea stains out of my stainless travel mug. Tried vinegar/baking soda first, but they didn't have the same effect.

@Raspop: Yeah, I think I've determined that I do need the drivers, but there is a separate uninstall for the control panel, so that will be my first try.

@phquaryn: Seriously? Woo hoo! I'm going to try it tonite, this would solve 90% of my problems with the PC. Why do they give drivers if they don't mean anything?

@ploopsy: Hi ploopsy! After reading this, maybe I should dump nVidia's config. But when I right click on my desktop, it's the only display setting I can get to. Not sure if I can uninstall just the control panel...?
