How do people deal with the nVidia control panel and drivers?
@AndyMan1: NewCat. (my friend named her baby NewCar, so why not?)
@TheAxMan: Thanks! I'll definitely check it out. I usually use the codecs from free codecs. But my understanding is that the problem with WMP is more than just codec: it's a tag problem (WMP can't read FLAC tags) and a streaming problem, ie. FLAC files can't be streamed to UPNP players (ie. Sonos, which does work…
Is WMP handling FLAC (and specifically, FLAC tags) any better these days? This was always the deal breaker for me. MediaMonkey sits on my NAS as a portable ap and syncs with anything I'm interested in syncing with. And I get to see (and edit) the song lyrics too, major bonus.
@Chispea: Wow, congrats! I've always wanted to do that, but it seems like a lot, between the TESOL and the education class requirements.
@orlo: Is that it? It's supposed to be a pickup technique? DOUBLE-EEEEEWWWWW. What about good old small talk? Like a normal person?
@klmrlkn555: Eeeeew. Personal space is for all, no?
@klmrlkn555: 1. Pilates or Yoga
@Buster Friendly: Sorry! I'm surprised it's that much different. I don't develop in 2007—yet. I hear that somewhere around 2011-2012 we might be there, though.
@Buster Friendly: Does this help? [office.microsoft.com]
@johnsmith1234: I'm not a student, not a blog writer, but I work in MIS. The IT people assure me that I'm not qualified to do anything IT-ish, so I suppose I qualify under your list of qualifications, no?
@Adam Lynch: You can do it in Access then, although as the guys say, scripting might be a lighter and more automated way to do it. In access/vb, you make the results of your query, look up the file name on the server, then just rename & copy/save the file based on the query results into the new location. If you're…
@Adam Lynch: Like TheFu said, more info needed, what tools do you have, I could do this in MS Access in under 5 minutes, do you have access to Access?
@Mickets: I've learned the Fake Throw-Out: Put stuff in a box that I think I don't need, and let it sit for 3-6 months. If I really don't need it beyond that time, I probably won't ever need it. But I've ended up going back to that box and saved quite a few things I'd have otherwise disposed of/donated. Not a 100%…
@PopandLocke: Oh bummer. Thanks!
@PopandLocke: Is there any way to do the selective syncing with the Exchange sync? I use a WinMo phone, but I didn't see anywhere to choose which groups to sync.
If you wanted to, say, tweak the lyrics of a song, or add the lyrics of a song, in an id3v2 tag, anyone know of a tag editor that doesn't require installing in Windows? Maybe a java editor or something? Just looking for something low-featured to do minor changes a song at a time (MediaMonkey does great batch…
@big_neon_crossing: Have you considered Rolfing? I just finished it, and it was great. If you can handle super-extra-strength massage, part of rolfing is to learn to carry your body so that you don't get hurt in the future. Disclosure: I do chiro too, and pilates (for strengthening), it's all sort of related.
@r0n0c: Okay, I found the info on an ad-hoc network for Vista, I'll assume it's pretty much the same for Win7:
@farcedude: Downloaded! Can't wait to try it! Thanks :)
