Doesn’t that imply you make loads of money if you got that little?  It’s gonna be hard for me afford the violin personally, but if you buy it for me I’ll play it for you.

Oh, do we have another summoningsalt?  Does this guy do other videos on records?

...weird to see demense and gaol called “unconventional fantasy spelling”. I think I may be too used to Crusader Kings because I don’t find it particularly striking to use the old style spelling.  Taken any history Ari?

This is...a strange take, but I suppose you are allowed to have it. FFXIV is the second of two MMOs I ever considered actually using a controller for because it’s so well setup (FFXI is the first, and it’s even more designed for controller, and I actually DID play it with controller unlike FFXIV for extended periods).

But you still haven’t played FF11?  That’s a shame, it’s a pretty enjoyable game.

Not to dredge up the past, but it looks like the results show that black men DID go for Trump at a higher rate than 2016. Still only something like 20% (Not sure where to get exact breakdown by demographics at this point) but it went up.

Minecraft is the best selling game of all time in the same way that EA Tetris for mobile devices is the third best selling game of all time though.

But the fun of D&D dice rolls is when things don’t go according to plan: You critically fail a roll and accidentally burn down somebody’s house or something.

If anyone can produce a good form letter, I will get my friend in CO to hit up Gardner. Here in OR I have literally no one I can complain at that’s relevant because my senators are Wyden and Merkley.  She is probably too shy to try and come up with something on her own though.

Populism is a helluva drug.  Leftist populism is obviously unquestionably better than far right populism, but at the end of the day all populism is a cancer on functioning government.

Sadly there is a very vocal faction of the left that see anything race related as a “distraction” from economic justice.  To the point that the DSA has a very ugly history of minimizing and silencing minority voices in favor of white men.

Gilbert and Alois aren’t romantic pairings even though they have S supports. Before the DLC there was only Linhardt, and it added Yuri.

As much as I love Samurai Champloo, and I do, going into it and caring a whit about historical accuracy is asking for problems. The show intentionally and egregiously uses anachronisms and pop culture as a core conceit of the series, the Chanpurū of the title. Yes, there are cool historical details like the Okinawan

Uh...champ?  He wasn’t angry about any of those things.  It’s completely irrelevant information in relation to this story.

Literally every single use of it in Japanese media is in reference to Chinese people, locations, or themes? I mean, I’m not sure at what point “obvious” is justified, but “zero counterexamples” does it for me personally.  I don’t know if I am willing to commit to researching and documenting every single use of it

It’s obviously only associated with China in Japan and fulfills basically the same function as it does in the west, being a musical stereotype of everything Chinese.  Japanese people would find it strange to have it associated with them and I suspect it only ever is in combination with westerners lumping all east

Hey, not fair, the entire willamette valley is fairly liberal, even here in Salem it’s only “sadly centrist”, not really Spokane levels of crazy. Eugene is obviously it’s own breed that should be mentioned separate from Portland.

Hey, let’s give them the benefit of the doubt here. It could be complete chance they released exactly 88 of these ads that have 14 words in their shared first sentence

Hey editors: no one comes to Kotaku for the videos.
