Somewhere on a cat message board, that cat is typing, "I was in a big hurry to get to a sunbeam when my human roommate went stomping all over the place putting her so-called 'clothes' on. (Haven't humans heard of fur??) With no whiskers and tail to help her navigate and balance, she stepped right on my tail! Can you

Oh my god me too

Me while reading this post:

I just had such a long, shitty day at the hospital with my mother, and I just have to say, another installment of Behind Closed Ovens was an absolutely perfect and delightful thing to find waiting for me when I went to the internet tonight for solace. What escapism! Thank you, everybody. And sorry you've had to deal

Whether God exists or not, I don't care, I'd return the money. I'd just feel too bad for the workers if I didn't.

And it's also Kinja featuring racial slurs. Bravo? Edit: I have now read the original comment more carefully. Whoops...

I feel like you should win just because this is so intensely horrible. Poor 15-year-old you!

Wow, awesome story. Thanks for writing this, and to Jezebel for publishing it!

It's a macaron.

Well, this post is pretty sad. Personally, I've been vegan for 14 years because I've educated myself about the ethics and social / environmental justice issues that are involved. Speciesism is a thing. There are books about it. Folks here may find them illuminating.

They had the same one in Bushwick, Brooklyn - or at least they did when I was living there a few years ago.

These comments make Jezebel's commenters sound like a bunch of bullies. If you read the comments on this post, and imagine yourself as Adam Levine, it's a sad, sad thing. Even people with big egos and lots of money have feelings and insecurities. And he's plainly not ugly, which some people are saying. Why all the

These comments feel kind of sad and mean. Why so much hate for this woman?

My partner and I took a trip to Mexico a couple of years ago - a train from Upstate NY to San Antonio, TX, and then buses all the way down to Oaxaca. It was 100% better than being in an airplane - more room, better air and water and food, more freedom, places to explore. And the Mexican bus system is super posh and

Well you seem to have all the answers, then, eh? I guess I'll go elsewhere with my (apparently sanctimonious) sorrow for my ever-mourning mother and my dead brother, and my regrets about our family's being too "calm" and not active enough to help him stay alive.
